Dearest Serene,
I dreamt about this last night ~ and I had to run out this morning, so the last post was from my phone.
I love you so very much!!! And you are doing so well...you are a huge inspiration here girl.

Hi Serene and Mel ~ I miss my girls!!!!
Mel love, how are your wedding plans going?
I so want to share in this part of your journey; it is so exciting!!!!!
I told Serene that she is an inspiration, but so are you.
I am much older than both of you, but you two (and wehav) are who I would like to be when I finally grow up. So much arrested development when you keep going on this downhill path for so many years. I am just so thrilled that you both started on the sober journey so much earlier than I did.
It makes me so happy when there are posts in this thread.
My heart is here.
Huge hugs!!!

Thank you for your kind words Venus, you always know how to make my day. For the record I want to be more like you when I "grow up" so I guess were even.
Wedding stuff is down the wire, one craft project at a time I'm getting it all done.
Still want to conquer step 4 before this next chapter of my life. Perhaps wed will be a step4/yoga/reflection/bubble bath kind of day, well see. My fear tells me that I'm holding on to a lot of baggage, but from experience I know it's the things that scare me the most that grownme the most.
Love you all, M

Hi all -
Thanks V for you lovely, lovely kind words of inspiration. You have such a way with kind words, and I admire you greatly for your gift that you share with us every post. Hope little V is feeling better.
Mel - your posts ring full of growth at a beautiful time of transition. Congrats on finalizing your craft projects! Thinking of you on your wonderful day!
I'm still here & sober & doing well. I was on spring break for 2 weeks and I'm spending more time with boy, so not doing my usual bedtime SR check in as my routine changes up. I'm feeling my emotions more now in general. It is becoming lots more clear how stunted I was in this department.
Sweet dreams dear friends

So good to see you Serene
And thank you so much. I always wanted to be a writer; it was my dream. And it's not too late for that, so I truly appreciate YOUR words.
It's wonderful to hear that you are so happy!
And continuing to make progress...forward we go.
I need to eat dinner, but I will post more later.
I guess I am making some progress as well.
Mel honey, I miss you.

Hello my loves. Happy 14 months V.
Things are getting pretty busy here for me. Doing everything on my own has saved lots of money but takes lots of time. Once the playlist is knocked out I think I'll feel better.
I feel like getting through the wedding sober is my next milestone. Like after that everyone who knows in sober will see in taking it seriously and everyone who doesn't will now know. Erich wants me to toast with sparkling apple cider in a champagne glass but I don't want anyone to think I'm drinking champagne,Well see what I do.
Love you all

Mel love, you will know that you're not drinking champagne...
But it needs to be whatever makes you comfortable. You certainly don't want extra stress on the day. Really getting exciting now...just over a month to go.
It's going to be a beautiful day for you, a celebration of you and Erich, as well as all you have achieved in the past almost 14 months.

Hi all -
quick post as I start my day
Odelle - i'm excited to see you back & have you with us on the posting side.
Wehav - likewise HUGS!
V - Congrats on 14 months. Thanks for sharing your passion for writing - I totally see it. You're very effective at invoking emotion through your written words.
Mel - Gosh that is a tough one - ceremonial moment that contains multiple meanings. Appreciate you sharing - and know that you'll find a resolution that feel right.
Not sure if this helps, but it's a fun anecdote - Champagne really isn't about alcohol - it became tradition because it was the wine that could ONLY come from the King of France - and it was used for identity legitimacy - if a message or a visitor was carrying Champagne - it was truly a communication from the King. So the tradition is really about the specialness of a blessing from the King - Brittish have their tweed or analogous (apologies to the Brits - showing my cultural ignorance). Perhaps that might help reframe the moment, not having to do with alcohol. (I'm not suggesting that you wear a tweed on your special day
I checked out my day counter - was surprised to find i'm at 442 days - next milestone is 500 days. I'm finding a lot of power coming from channelling more calmness lately - and practicing where I put my attention. It seems to be helping me to create my own happiness rather than have it be due to an external source. Previously I read about it, and practiced yoga, but it felt illusive. Feels like the starting touches of a fundamental shift - kind of like after 3 months of being sober and I finally felt like 'myself' again for the first time. I noticed my mind has been improved lately and think that there might be a correlation here.
Happy Weekend everyone!

And I feel the same way; and it has happened just very recently for me.
Happy Sunday/weekend all.

Hey loves, printed out three sets of step 4 worksheets: childhood, adolescences, and adulthood.
I've gotten through the first two tonight and am taking a break to stew on them for a few days before heading on to adulthood.
How's everyone else doing? Love you all xoxo

Hello Mel and Dee ♥
I was just thinking about you Mel; I am so sorry that I forgot your 14 month sober anniversary yesterday.
So ~
I am sick right now, painful sinus infection.
Other than that, starting a little part-time job, and pretty busy.
Sounds like you are working hard on the step stuff Mel. It's emotional, I found.
Glad you are taking a little break.
