Morning.
Gorgeous day here. All is well except the neighbors chickens woke me up. More accurately it was Blue Dog pawing at the windows and dreaming of the carnage he would create if let out of the house. Stupid chickens.
Had my first drinking dream. Was pretty disconcerting when I woke up. The brain is such a powerful thing. I felt absolutely hungover until I realized I had just dreamt it. Then--it went away almost instantly. Kind of cool if you think about it, but also a bit scary.
Makes me wonder if the goofballs on Coast to Coast AM aren't on to something with their ideas of mind time travel and all that...

Scout... I think I've had one so far. Was strange. I'd found a beer bottle in someone's fridge, a frosty Guinness... took a swallow of it (though I don't remember actually turning it up)... and that later I realized I'd been holding it in my mouth for a long time! It was a relief to know I hadn't swallowed it, so I spit it out... was all warm and gross by then. And then, I thought... oh no, I'm sure some of the alcohol was absorbed by the lining of the cheeks! Lol. I wasn't too devastated or anything when I woke up, mostly just sort of laughed about it.

Our central AC/heating compressor went out. Husband and friend are taking a look at it now. I sincerely hope they can fix it soon. We're running a window unit AC right now in the bedroom trying to cool the whole house... lol. It's bearable but not exactly the most comfortable. Thankfully there's been rain to cool things down a little the past few days.
Having a boring weekend so far.
I'm feeling stagnant lately. And a little bit down, thinking about my future. Having self-doubt. Ideas that keep swirling about in my head: blogging, short stories, novel... grad school for MFA in creative writing vs. grad school for masters in psych... and a few other online ventures... so confused and don't want to make a decision.
