I think you're good Manz. Men are really more casual about these things than we are. If anything he's wondering the same thing. Just play it cool. 
R&A congrats on the date success! You guys are making me miss the dating scene! Enjoy this time girls, because before you know it you'll be three years in and BOOORED like me. I really miss the excitement sometimes!

Hey Manz great on your time, reminds me I am 20 months tomorrow.
Re the coffee- coffee is coffee- someone has to suggest something- might as well be you !! I do not think it is a biggie- showing your hand is always leaving the potential for rejection- so naturally playing it cool is sensible. But then if you are too cool they get discouraged etc etc etc so who knows..................but we feel for ya
Bear in mind this is advice from a man who is having trouble getting his marriage going again !!!!! so I am hardly the font of all wisdom on these matters

Manz I'm with Instant yep you totally asked me out but in a non violating way and you did leave the choice up to him. I see nothing wrong with that because as my friends say people can't read minds. I also wouldn't worry cause he didn't say he would call my experience is sometimes they call cause they got the invite.

Alrighty, glad I went to last night's networking-y thingy because it was a room full of people I needed to meet and people who were looking forward to meeting me. Some weird coincidences that tell me I was in the right place at the right time.
Dad was good on the phone last night. I was planning to visit but he said he was snuggled in with the dog and didn't want company. That's fine. We made a dinner date for Thursday. He is seeing his Army buddies on Wednesday.
I can't believe step-mom is gone. It's like she just stepped out....and she's never coming back? That's so hard to imagine.
Got two recommendations for family therapists, I will call today. I hope I make a connection with one of them. I hate to sound like an armchair shrink but I did some reading on Narcissist Personality Disorder last night, and my older sister is a match. So many things ring true. Recovery shows me things as they are, not as how I wish them to be or what other people want me to believe.

Instant..your sober date is my birthday! Happy 20 months to you!
Fighting off the sniffles..hoping it doesn't worsen. One of my students has been in and out of the hospital with the flu. Yuck. Think I'll have some chocolate. That's always good for colds.
