Up to run. It's still wet and a bit rainy but at least it's warm!

Have been sore and ouchy so hoping for a good workout to start the day right.

Got wrapped up in some negative thinking triggers yesterday. No harm done, just hours spent in poor me thinking. Today is brand new, I'm a capable adult.

Tell me about it instant. I had to click on the link three times to get here!
LOL

Good day for me here, more or less.
Hope all is well with everyone else.
I got a new one for you all (since we were talking food just a bit ago)
Tomato Basil jam.

We made some this past summer. Now I just wish we had made more.
We gave some away as gifts and man oh man is it yummy!
On a bit of foccacia, a bit of feta cheese and the jam smeared on top. YUM!

Woah! Munchkin that sounds amazing-recipe please!!! (Not that I'll ever make it, but it's nice to dream!)

Frances nice snapping out of it-we all have these down days. I have them about once a week, actually. The littlest thing can set me off.

Oh yeah, btw, I had a panic attack yesterday, the first one in months, since I went off my meds. Which is really scary, because I thought it was the drugs I was on that was doing it. So yeah, considering a trip to the doc's because I was driving and felt like I was going to drive into another car. Luckily it passed quickly but it was awful while it was happening.

WTF?

It's been cold (for here) lately and raining A LOT. But about five minutes ago it actually snowed, or something like snow, and then cleared up. I want it to snow!

Already had a full Christmas dinner complete with leftovers and hosted a Christmas party the next day so feeling burned out already! Holiday starts in three days! We leave on Thursday. So excited!

Can't wait to chiiilllllll.

I'll have to look on my gardening blog. I know it had tomatoes, basil, balsamic vinegar, pectin and sugar.
Pretty simple really. But amazingly complex flavors!
Our white chocolate raspberry jam is the one that usually gets the biggest rave reviews from friends and family. That and the hot pepper. Made one batch from jalapenos and two habaneros recently. Whew, hot!
I can't wait to see what family says about that batch!

Thanks for the crumpet lesson, Itchy! Never did really know what they were. I remember when I was dating that Brit and he was in the states he saw an english muffin and was all, "umm...we don't even HAVE those". haha.

Been really busy...the play is over, and had the 2 family xmas parties. Whew! Now I just have xmas to worry about. Friday is my last day of work till Jan 3rd, so it'll be fun to be off with the boys for awhile. We had our xmas eve with my parents and brothers, last night, so we're free for xmas eve for the first time ever. Thinking of seeing The Hobbit! I think it would be a fun thing to do. I try to see all the Oscar nominated movies. I know we don't know what they are yet, but there's buzz early. I'm doing pretty well so far, but there's a couple I need to see before they disappear.

Anyway..happy hump day, everyone! Oh crap, it's only Tuesday, isn't it? Just pretend I said that tomorrow, please.

Pip,
The weather here today is sunny and a very warm for this time of year but pleasant 73 degrees. We had some rain but at night, and one day of daytime overcast Sunday.

Munchkin,
It sounded so good I went in search of the recipe. My SH cans and is a gourmet cook as I am. She does not like me in "her" kitchen however. We do taste trips and have done so all over the world. But even right here there are too many to even try them all. BUt we are trying this one:
Tomato-Basil Jam Recipe - Healthy.Food.com - 21030

Murray! Congrats bud! Long time no see! I am a month or two behind you.

IP,
Sorry to hear about the PA! Glad it was over quick though.

Mirage,
Wow you are busy! You are welcome! I didn't know what they were either so I researched them for me too. I was glad to find that they were not English muffins. I will have to find a real Brit that makes them and try the real thing. The Golden Syrup is no problem. And yes to whoever mentioned it, Arequipe is also called Dulce de leche ( Milk Candy )

Munchkin,
You were right! My SH got the recipe I forwarded and she already makes and cans her own scrumptious pepper jelly, and she has a large aero garden hydroponic indoor herberie and has fresh basil, thyme, and she has a giant Rosemary bush out front from a tiny sproutling. I will post a pic when I am on the computer not this tablet.

So this afternoon she ran out and got the less sugar pectin she needed, and she added a touch of red pepper flakes to punch it up a tad bit. And she used a fourth of a cup of fresh chopped basil instead of three tbs.

She canned 5 half pints and I tasted some already from the bit left over. Yum! I can't wait to try it tomorrow on meats and breads.

She'd never heard of it until late this morning. And alread got r done!

Worm hole—what a perfect way to describe my addiction! So yes, I'd say that's pretty much exactly how I got here.

I gave a work Xmas show a miss yesterday- said I was going out for dinner with my Dad which was actually true. No one put pressure on me in any event. There is another "drinks" evening this Friday. I have contemplated popping in and having a mineral water- but then I think- what's the point, I will have last minute shopping to attend to by then

I will be having a week of off in early January- I am hoping to become more involved socially next year and am mulling over options. Years ago I sat on some professional committees and similar activities- I don't want to be involved in anything where I have to wear a tie !!

Evening Overs,

Its not Wed here for another 15 minutes..

So a worm hole is that kinda like the ones on Star Trek? I really only skimmed through the posts so I guess maybe I don't have the whole story?

Dee thanks for the new page.

:day1 :day6 :day1 :day6

Happy 28 months Murray
