Class Of November 2011 Pt 7
Let us know when you hear, Tres!
Anyone here ever take Ambien CR to help sleep? I took it months ago with no problem. I have been having trouble sleeping the past few weeks so I have been using it. Not supposed to take for more than two weeks at a time, which I never do.
Over the weekend I was EXTREMELY depressed, in a bad way. Also had a bad headache. But the depressed state of mind was really worrying me. It was VERY BAD.
Anyway, I googled AmbienCR and headache, and learned that a well known side effect is depression!!
I have not taken it since Saturday night and I am actually starting to feel better. I think my body is reacting to it differently these days and it was the start of a bad thing. I am glad I recognized that something was very wrong, apparently there have been suicides, etc that are directly attributed to this drug. I wasn't feeling anything like that, but definitely knew something was wrong.
I didn't sleep at all, though, but that is okay. Will figure it all out.
Everyone have a good week.

Marine- Please, please, talk with your physician, if you have not done so already. Please.
Tres- Rooting for you, but regardless of the outcome you're a winner.
Nothing new here aside from Springtime chores around the property,
The bluebirds have just completed their nest, so we should have eggs shortly. If all goes well, the eggs should hatch in about 3 weeks. If anyone would be interested in see pics of the little uglies, let me know and I'll post some after hatching.

Thanks, Bimm - I had indeed already called the doc first thing this morning! She said to stop taking it immediately, which I had already done. I was just curious if anyone else had ever taken that drug and experienced anything similar. It was scary! I am thankful I knew on my own that something wasn't right, but sadly, others don't get that "warning".
I've taken a few different antidepressant type drugs that made me really depressed and anxious too! So glad you stopped taking them. Even if you're not sleeping the important thing is that you are healthy of mind.
Take care.
Yes Bimm I definitely want to see pictures of the baby bluebirds!

Bimm, I want to see pics too.
I have been called to meet with the other nurse managers tomorrow and then on thursday meet again with a physician for a second interview...so still dont know for sure. I am starting to feel confident that I have it, but dont actually want to say it and jinx myself. They sure are taking time. I still am not worrying.
I willmkeep you all posted!

Gang. - I just realized I have FIVE MONTHS today. Who Hooo! Not sure how I missed that one. Thanks for all of your support, especially through the tough times, the relapses and my other issues that have come along during the past year and a half. I cherish each and every one of you. Thank you for being here.
Hi Everyone,
Marine, congrats on five months. Glad you called your doctor. Anti-depressants can be wicked and for some, dangerous. Good for you for recognizing that something just didn't feel right.
Tres, how cool to be on CBS! (I looked it up, of course!) Respect all around for the job you do. Thought you looked great!
Bimm, congrats on your 500 days. Count me in as wanting to see baby bluebird photos.
Darren, hope you are continuing to heal.
InPartic, congrats on nearing the finish of school…
Hi Dee! Hope life continues to be good to you!
Glad to be back. Had a wonderful vacation. Really can't say enough about our travels. Saw many things, met some great people, ate some really good food, and managed to maintain my sobriety.
I definitely had one or two moments when the lure of wine was great, but it passed. My observations about drinking on this trip: Many, many people are drinking a lot of wine and beer out there...That is true. BUT…I observed what I felt was a surprisingly high number of people…noticeably so, who appeared content with waters, teas, and coffees in restaurants, cafes, and everything in between.
Anyway, I'm still sober. (Day 508) I missed you all and thought of you, especially during those tempting moments.
Good to be back!
