Just posting to bump us back up in the list. I think this is the last page. Not sure about the archiving situation-

All is well - 16 months and living again

Great to hear from you Jim - its sad our thread has died away but I guess that is probably what usually happens. Was excited when I saw an email saying there was a post

So glad you are living freely now - me too still a month behind you and always will be happily. Ive completed the 12 step programme and it really is the best thing ive ever done for myself - and for anyone around me.

Ive just started dating again and the weight is coming off naturally - life is beautiful and exciting every day.

Love to hear more from you and any others who might wanna say hi xxxx

Hey Debbie that is great news. It's great to hear that opportunities open up. Life can change so much when we stop poisoning ourselves (who'd have thought that would be the case ?).

As it turns out today is my 500th day sober. It is a quiet achievement these days. spring is here and the sense of foreboding I used to live with has long gone. I still think about my "recovery situation" a lot but it does not dominate my day. I come to SR every day. it's working so why change it!

Life is easier. I'll just have to work out how to get notifications !!

Today I am grateful for 18 months of sobriety, and it is a great way to live. Life is easier and more fun, and I get a sense there is more to come. Hope this message finds you well

Congratulations Jim - just back from a meeting got to give out a 2 month and 3 month chip - I remember how proud I was getting each month - we have started giving out 18 month chips now too so I get another one soon hooray!

It just keeps on getting better and better.

Anyone seen any of the Leonid meteorites supposed to be spectaular the next couple of nights - its cloudy here tonight but supposed to be clear tomorrow I really wanna see at least one!

Hi all,

Just checking in. I have been sober since June 2011. Absolutely no relapses and my quality of life has improved significantly!

Hey Jeff and is it welcome to our thread or have you posted before? Sorry Im happy to say its been a while since we started and my memory still isnt what perhaps it ought to be (maybe its age and not just what the booze did to me) but a little sad there is so little activity now.

Hey Dee - we know you will always be around

I think I saw one of the Leonids but it was so quick and I was driving so im not 100% sure. It looked like a fat shooting star it definately wasnt a plane, maybe a firework that went wrong :S (they dont usually go sideways do they).

Ive got an op next week and will be off work recovering for 2 weeks so will be checking in here more and doing all my xmas shopping online - Im looking forward to the break in a way but I have to remember im going to be in pain which I dont cope with very well so im might struggle with spirituality a little.

Would be so lovely to here from more of you guys from last year no matter how you are doing - it helped me sooooo much and I still have to pinch myself to believe im nearly 18 months free of the poison.

Love and best wishes to all xxxxxx

Great you are powering on Pumpkin. X mas is coming up and people seem to drink and party more. I went out for dinner last night with colleagues and got some "pressure" about not trying the fine wine (what not etc). These days I think that sort of stuff is just rude and I'll mannered.

In any event things are going well.

I now post regularly in the one year and over group. It is quite active.

All the best for Xmas.

Thanks Jim I will have a look at that thread - all still well with me - recovering from my op and over the worst - bagged myself a new man for Christmas and my eldest daughter had 3 days at Oxford University having interviews last week - I feel I am being given more than I need but I am not complaining xx
