Welcome Carlos ... so day 80 today? Awesome!
One more week for me until 6 months! This weekend my husband and I took a trip to Atlantic City. Once upon a time, AC was the scene of my worst-ever drinking episode, hands down, so I was actually looking forward to going back and enjoying in a sober state what the environment has to offer. I'm happy to say I really wasn't at all tempted to drink. I had fun gambling (only a little), relaxing at the spa, enjoying the restaurants and going to a comedy show. It was a great triumph for me and a great way to celebrate (almost) six months.
Hope everyone's doing well... SBTS

Hey all!
Guess at day 118 I can post here? I was hanging out at newcomers main and was wondering about my bud "Carlos" and looked him up finding him doing fine here!

You've come a long way bud, still riding the rides in the Soberville amusement park and staying till the end of the rides now huh? From your comments this is for over 90 days and under six months?

Itchy, hello my "old friend”….Congrats to you on your now 119 days in Soberille as well!! I had just popped on this site to say HELLO to all prior to my official graduation from the 90 day and under site. I am quite happy to find you here...cruising along.
I post mostly on the 90 and under site, as well as the class of November. We have quite a collection of fellow soberites there, and soon many from the Nov class will be heading over here. Having a sober date of 10-28-2010, I will be one of the first to hit 90 days.
I do pop over to the Newcomers site and read posts from time to time. One in particular has been bothering me these past few days. I don't remember their name...but they relapsed after two years from drinking mouthwash with alcohol. It scared me! I just pray that I find the strength to never return to drinking again.
Talk soon again I hope…

Personally I don't think length of sobriety is necessarily any protection, Carlos - not just by itself.
We all need to keep those recovery muscles active

I agree... length of sobriety is not enough by itself to guard against relapse. You can't get complacent.
But with that said, the longer you're sober (assuming you're doing it right and not just white knuckling), the more tools you should gain to help you through different situations.

Naw, not yet....it was just sneezing like crazy (non-stop) until a few days ago then I could tell it wasn't just allergies (throat got sore, sinus pressure, the works) - now I'm officially sick. If I'm not better by Monday I'll go see the doc! Thanks for the concern dee...

i think my sober body bounces back faster from the minor stuff
I am off for the weekend with my Dad...not taking laptop, so I will check you guys out on Monday morniong

I started feeling a bit better yesterday afternoon and just woke bout an hour ago and my sore throat is definitely not as bad so I think I'm on the mend now! Not too bad, bout 5 days sick...
Uber happy to be sober at all let alone 97 days! Go 6 month and under club!!!!!!!
Shout out to Akasha, dee, OneWithWings, SoberbytheSea as well. Not sure who else is part of this thread.....let's get this sober party started! Hope everyone is off to a great day!
