I wish I could do that, least. I can't sleep. Get some shut eye for me.

Get off of work @ 3:30 this morning. Toss and turn and fall asleep around 5:00...I guess. Stupid frackin leaf blowers blowing at 7:30! Can't sleep! And then the freakin frackin street sweeper comes by at 8:00! I'm sleep deprived and extremely pissy. And I have a cold.

Good morning whiners.
No whines here yet, so I'll pass for now.

Sher....I'm so glad that things went well with your mom.

I've got another whine, if you please....

I had a good case of bronchitis last week.
Missed three days of work, and was sick over the weekend to boot.
Back to school this week, but, still coughing.
But....
The whine is this....

I threw out my back.
Not sure how, but, it may have been during a coughing spasm.
Sunday night I was lucky if I got two hours sleep at all.
Went to work. Called my doc right after work.
Couldn't get in to see him, but, he sent me to the urgent care place.

My back pain goes into my neck and head, giving me terrible pain.
This time, it's my neck that is the most painful.
The doc thinks it's related to my old back injury cuz of the tingling it gives me in my hand; it's pressing on some nerve.

So, I'm in a neck collar. I've got anti-inflamatory pills. And muscle relaxor pills. And pain pills.

But, I can't take the pain pills during work or any time, except when I'm at home, cuz they make me a bit stoned.
And the muscle relaxers make me tired, so, I have to be VERY careful when I take them. I almost fell asleep during a professional development on Wednesday cuz of them, (and the fact that the PD was soooooo boring!)
And I can only take the anti-inflamatory 2 times a day.

So.....
What the he!! good is all this stuff
When I can't TAKE it?????

The neck brace helps a bit....but, I look like a fool! LOL!

The end.

Shalom!

(((Hope 3))) good to see you back here in WA. And hugs to Teach, nothing worse than back/neck/pain problems.

I am whineless today, it's warming up, sun is shining, and all is well
in Queeny's whiny world. This is a temporary condition, I plan to have a whine soon, just waiting for one to sneak up on me

I got out of bed an hour ago but still can't wake up. Maybe I'm just dreaming that I woke up. That's the only whine I can muster up for yas until I've had my cafe con leche.

I spent a day and a half removing caulking that once held shower doors securely to my bath tub. They were unsightly (and besides, I'm a bath person) so I took them down, leaving an outline of caulking to be removed. I scraped, I scrubbed and steel wooled and scraped some more. I have a very small area to finish the job.

So today, King Bubba (who has been working all week and missed the drama) says to me, "Queeny? Why don't you get some Silicone-be-gone and it should come right off?"

So I stopped at Home Hardware and sure enough, they had that product and said that yup, it will come right off.

Now what I want to know is when I explained what I was about to do at Home Hardware and asked for help finding the caulking to fill in the screw holes and the scraper to scrape off the old caulking..why did somebody NOT tell me about this product that would have made my life so much easier????? Why?????

I'm pleased with what I accomplished today but it left me exhausted. A nap may be in order with the dogs...

had to go to 3 old navy stores to get enough $1 scarves for my holiday grab bag. they limited it to FIVE per customer

one poor sale clerk took pity on me and let me buy a handful of extra. she deserves a raise.

now, in all the chaos of store to store , i am not especially pleased with my girl grab bag selection of colors.

cheaters never win.

Here's a second-hand whine, if I may.

My husband's the Exec. Chef at a nice hotel where they have alot of conferences. On today's agenda was "Overeater's Anonymous" for their annual meeting. He just took a break to email me. He said it's been chaos there. It seems the Overeaters are not sticking with their program. The Overeaters are overeating bigtime. Who knew? They ran out of food at breakfast and lunch - and he's had to send people out to buy extra food so they'll have enough for dinner. On top of that, he says they're a cranky bunch. (I think there's a Saturday Night Live skit in there somewhere.)
