Gratitude was the topic of my meeting tonight, and there is so much to be grateful for.

1. My Sobriety
2. My renewed Faith in God
3. My Health
4. My Children
5. My being employed
6. Each of you here on Living in Sobriety

Sheesh, Bee...that's more than scary! This is just for pain, right? This isn't going to "fix" it?

Nothing will fix it Lis, arthritis is here to stay and get worse as I get older. Its mostly for the pain and that way I can start exercising since I can't do that now. So its good, I believe it will be a good thing.

The doctor was very nice, I brought the MRI report I got from the hospital but didn't have the films. It seems the damaged discs in my back are worse and now there is arthritis in my back which is causing all this pain in my leg. Sooooooo on December 7th he is going to do outpatient epidural in my back. He said it should help with the pain but I might need a 2nd shot in 3 months. I told him about my addictions and he was very nice, asked me why I went back out after 15 years and I explained it was the pain med's for my back that I started abusing and one thing led to another. So no med's for me, thank you God. I need to have someone drive me there and wait for me because he said my right side will be completely numb for about 3 hours after it. Had to sign a waiver just in case it causes me to be paralyzed. Now I have to go to the hospital where I had the MRI on Friday and pick up the film so he can see exactly where to insert needle.

Oh and my blood pressure was so high in his office he was concerned. I think it was just from all this coughing, so I will watch it and keep up with the blood pressure med that I take.

Bee Im worried about you...

Now back to Ro and her new job. Ro over here, court officers have to do the same with their hair and they also carry a night stick, will you get one? Also handcuffs, will you get handcuffs? Hmm kinda kinky don't you think? Watch out for Louis, uniform and handcuffs, all you will need is Vicks Perfume. lol

I deal with much the same stuff Bee - it's not easy but others have it worse, as you say.
You'll be ok

Yes they do Dee. Tonight when I was driving back from the Doctors, I passed the Market Street Mission, it is a place for the homeless to eat and sleep. There were many going inside and I felt tears swell up in my eyes, because I am so lucky to have my own home and bed to go home to, and food in my refrigerator for me and my family. So yes I am so blessed and grateful.

Again, we come to "nothing, absolutely nothing, happens in God's world by mistake." So this too is part of my journey.

I have a damaged disc Bee. I was in hospital years ago (when I was active) for almost 2 weeks with horrific pain. It was touching a nerve and effected my right leg. It was a dreadful time. worst pain ever. I am always so careful of my back now. Sometimes it can be sore if I do to much.

hi still not all up on posts, i am having a hard time, i'll just share what i wrote on my 'home group' thread

i posted i was very tempted and battling atm due to family dramas

it is my other daughter the one with depression, locked in her room for the last 3 days, missed all her school exams and final assessments,

i missed meetings whilst my other daughter in hospital, (who has made full recovery!) and boy did the 'stinkin thinkin', as they call it come back in force. It highlighted to me how much i need the meetings to be able to stay off the grog.
i went to one reluctantly last night and it was on trust and faith, half way through meeting i was called to share, couldnt but i did a reading, it is amazing how i felt after! i could feel the stinkin thinkin go, along with the desire to drink

feeeling much better today
my own quote

have a good day all

hope we ALL can feel good again soon
