Class of November Part 7
That looks synthetic, that bacon does. We can get our bacon to look like that, tho, can't we. Not back bacon, cheap bacon, grilled really well, so it's just crispy salty fat! yummmm! (I am a heart attack in training!)

Was just reading Kevins thread over in Newcomers, if you've not read it he lives in the middle of where the fires are going on over in Australia, he's ok though.
It got me thinking though, how crap we all are sometimes, oh isn't life terrible I can't drink tonight, I've a wedding to go to, its my birthday, I'm stressed at work, I want to get pissed.
When it comes down to it, all we have to do to make our lives better is not to stick any alcohol in our gobs of an evening, then repeat over and over, end of.
Hardly compares really, when you think theres people in the world having to get their loved ones and what treasures they can into a car and drive for their lives.
Sorry, not aimed at anyone in particular, just my thoughts.

Had lunch today with a woman with a few decades of doing the deal sober. She shared some things that will be of great value to my learning expreince...one thing she said is about the "big deal test" as they call it around here.
She told me not to discount what I am walking through, that it isn't about how big a deal is it, but rather simply that it is what I am walking through right now and will become a part of who I am tomarrow...not to judge the expereince but to expreince it.
What we walk through each day sober may seem like small potatos, but HOW we walk through this day is very important within the context of our own lives.

Yep Wonkey, utterly sh*te sums it up pretty well, doesn't make what your going through any less real though.
I was just taking a step back, I was reading the thread of folk congratulating me, then reading the thread about the fires and it made me feel really humble.
May we never have to go through something like that.
Your still doing well though.
