Whiners Anonymous - Part 16
If you lived closer, I would send you some of my Killer Chili, Pattee, guaranteed to kill a cold.
Or maybe drink some hot chicken soup
I am whineless tonight, that happens sometimes.

Jerz, what happened to you really p!sses me off. I've seen too many nursing home workers treat the residents as if they were babies or incompetent. That is such bad behavior and completely uncalled for. I"m really angry for you, and for that nurse to 'complain' to you about the residents 'yelling' at her is inappropriate.
On an unrelated note, I watched Clean and Sober last night. Rented it cause I hadn't seen it in a long time. I didn't like it so much the second time around. I didn't like the ending with him leading a meeting after only 30 days clean and sober. I didn't think that was done in AA. And Keaton's character was a total ass, just as bad clean as using. What a jerk!

Thanks for your support, Whiners! Sometimes I wonder if I'm over-reacting; but, I spoke to my neighbor across the hall, and she agreed that the way some of the aides treat the residents, it's very degrading.
So, I stopped the Assistant Director of Nurses, and explained what happened. I told her it had been suggested that if I was upset about anything, I shouldn't wait until the once a month Resident Council Meeting to bring it to the attention of the administrators. I asked her if she couldn't please do something to remind the aides to treat the residents with the dignity to which they're entitled. She seemed to be shocked and disappointed by the incident...we shall see.

seriously least..there are alot of AA groups out there that don't have all those rules/suggestions....I was much better at leading meetings at 30 days than I was at 2 years...
Good for you Jersey sticking up for yourself. I can just hear you now telling them off.
Julie Congrats on your first 24 hours sober. Just one day at a time.
Hope you feel better soon Rusty. Take lots of Vitamin C, that's what I do.
I'm just gonna whine about the rainy weather today. That's the best whine i got for now.

Agreed.
Also, I had to take my cat to the emergency vet last night for yet another UTI. Didn't get out of there till 1:30, only slept about 3 hours. They didn't have chewable antibiotics so I called my other vet to get them and now she's saying she doesn't think these are infections, just stress-related inflammation. Waiting for her to call me back but it may be fruitless since they close early on Saturday.
I'm not really that mad, but I was too lazy to go into the whole smiley list.
