Moot-
Yes I like the original "Grinch" too. One of my holiday fav's.
Saw "Elf" yesterday--was pretty good. Of course we will be having the annual showing of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and:
The original Rudolph (celebrating it's 40th year on TV)
The Year Without A Santa Claus (Love that "snow miser")
Santa Claus is Coming to Town (Winter Warlock: "Call me Winter")
White Christmas (another holiday tradition)
Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol (razzleberry dressing)
A Christmas Carol (with Alistair Sim)
Mickey's Christmas Carol (5 year old granddaughter lives with me)
and any other I can get my hands on or see on TV.
I do love this time of year!
Happy Holidays everyone, and Blessings to you and yours.

Oooooooo Wolfstarr, I wanna see Elf!

I haven't seen any of the original stuff in my cable guide. Looks like they aren't playing it this year. Bummer!

I just saw "Jingle All The Way" and enjoyed it greatly!

Hi every one, I'm new here and I read the e-mail from tammy I thought I was the only 1 that watched sad movies just to cry. Have you ever seen A Walk to Remember? I've watched it like 20 times and still cry. Hope you guys are doing ok.

Some of my favorite movies to watch are "Shawshank" and "The Lost Boys". I love watching Shawshank simply because thats the way I feel about some of the current events unfolding in my life. I feel like I've been held captive all this time, and now I am finally escaping!

The Lost Boys I love simply because I'm a huge, die-hard '80's nut. My older brother and sisters always watched that movie, and when I watch it now, it makes me feel like there all still sitting there in the living room watching that with me. Sometimes it makes me feel like my mom and dad are still together, and everything is okay.

Everyone NEEDS to see Hitch with Will Smith! It is the best and most hilarious movie I've seen in a really long time!

I am the opposite..........I love a real sad movie when I am depressed, it sometimes helps release pent up sadness and I have a good cry, and feel better.

Hotel Rwanda is a great movie I watched recently!! Very touching story based on a real life event.

I didn't like Hitch as much as I thought I would.......but many movies that I start out not liking become my favorites, I am really weird that way..LOL....

I definitely want to see Ring 2.......

I also didn't like The Grudge as much as I thought I might...but it wasn't bad either.

Hi, I like to introduce myself.

I love this discussion and this movie club is a great idea!

Movies are my absolutely favorite but I haven´t seen the ones you´re talking about except Hotel Rwanda, The Grudge and The Ring. I really liked the latter. I like to see a sad movie when I´m depressed and a comedy when I´m in between moods.

More on that topic later.

I wish you alla good viewing and a good day.

Eva
