Welcome doityourself!
Sam, I would say the same to you I say to others. I think it’s way better for you to come and share than to stay away because you feel pressured to name everyone individually! Also, hope you are feeling better. And I’m jelly about doggie day care. Mine is too reactive I think. But I’ve started to feel so bad because I’m just so tapped out by the rest of my life that it’s hard to give her enrichment and play, at least with her temperament.
Turs, I love what you said about squatters’ rights and belonging.

Grateful
- I am trying to get up earlier and today is day 1 of that. I did manage to wake up before 5. Now I just hope I can make it through the afternoon!
- for rain
- for teachers
- for coffee
- for the many advantages and supports I’ve had in my life
- for a morning without meetings
- for all of you.

Sam, I agree with others, no need to acknowledge others here, there are many times when I don't. You are here and that is what matters!

Hi Numblady I’m the same way; I like to wake up early but then I have trouble staying up past 8 or 9pm! It beats passing out drunk, though

Hi Doity!
Aly, so nice your sis offered to help you. Yes, my cogs are Maine Coons. They are amazing. Glad the kitty has a home
Hi Zura, Numblady and everyone
Grateful that everything passes. Yesterday was a very hard day for a few reasons. Hardest day in a long time. We make choices and hopefully we learn and grow from them

Grateful that our cleaners are coming today except that I'm really tired. They always say they'll be here at 9, but don't usually get here until 9:30, which is fine. I should work with them to clean my room but I don't know if I have the energy! I may try to visit mom today. My sister said she would go visit her today. I hope she does. I hate to think about her having no visitors for a couple of days. Sometimes my sister does what she says she's going to do and sometimes she doesn't. I just feel like I could use a break from the nursing home/rehab today.
Alpine, the place where my mom is has a little of everything. But, yes, she gets P.T and O.T. a couple times a day. She can't do that much at one sitting due to the pain, so they do shorter sessions more often. She gets her showers and people are in and out. It is a drag that her roommate is such an odious creep.
Purps, I so appreciate you. Seems like we've known each other a long time now and I so appreciate your friendship! I appreciate the friendship of everyone here. Grateful for you all and for all my blessings.
Have a wonderful day. Love and peace to all.

Hello Grat Pack. Here on my lunch break again. Not quite morning here.

Aly I hope your sister comes through and goes to see your mom.
Fearless I hope you have a better day today!
Purps I meditate before tennis matches often and it improves my performance. I should meditate more often in general though.
NL I had a morning with out meetings too but have one this afternoon.
Alpine so glad you are feeling pretty well!
Welcome Doityourself.

Grateful for my sobriety.
Grateful I finally got some good sleep last night and a nice dream about a friendly dolphin encounter.
Grateful for some tennis after work today.
Grateful that the Friday winter tennis group I started has lots of people participating.
Grateful for sunshine.
Grateful my daughter who is newly single is actually thinking about dating.
Grateful my other daughter has a second interview today for a promotion. I hope she gets it so she can afford her rent.
Grateful my son has been financially self sufficient for so long since we are still helping both our adult daughters.
Grateful for SR and the GP.

Here are some photos from a recent hike.

Hi all-
Grateful that I felt at least better enough to attend a work lunch which was both yummy and very social.
Grateful that all my pets are healthy and happy.
Grateful I have my home in my little corner of the world to feel safe and secure in.

It was super spooky-looking this morning, very foggy. Appropriate for being so close to Halloween.

Grateful to be able to help my sister sort out some financial decision-making.
Grateful I'll be zooming with a friend later today.
Grateful for a good night's sleep.
Grateful to get a big chunk of volunteer work done yesterday, ready to hand off to other people.
Grateful for this fall weather .. birds starting to migrate, some calm sunny mornings for paddling.
Grateful for my life.

Good Morning All 🌞
Well midday here

Midday Gratitude:
Grateful:
- that a stressful issue that was weighing heavily has been finalised, still many more issues to tackle but so relieved that one has been handled.
- that my son has been so pleasant, happy and helpful, long may it last 😆.
- to have finally purchased a missing book in my favourite series, the outlander novels. Although I just discovered im missing the one before this one so ill have to wait some more 😆. My Mum got me into them many moons ago and she passed away before the book series was finished and well before the TV series. But I know she's is reading/watching vicariously through me when I do.

Midday Intention:
- have a restful afternoon as I'm exhausted and unwell.

Midday Affirmation:
- I am capable of overcoming any obstacle.

Best wishes to everyone ❤️.

(((Fearless))). Whatever was going on, I’m sorry and join others in hoping today is better.
CBS, so weird. I can’t see any pictures but it sounds like others can.
Hev, what is it with you getting all these unannounced visitors? Stressful! Hope it went as well as it could.
Aly, did it go ok with the cleaners? hope your sis made it to visit your mom.
Sam, glad you were well enough to venture out into the world!
Turs, sounds like you are even more at peace around the volunteer gig.
Zura, i need some magic potion to give my son so he is like that — do you have any ?
Alpine, love the thought of you getting to be outside in your happy place. Instead of cooped up in the hospital.
Purple, yes to being a zombie, pumpkin, whatever by 8!
Thinking of Jack, Zen, Free, and other GPers i haven't’ seen in a bit.

Grateful
- working from home allows me to sneak in naps
- it poured and poured rain yesterday. With more to come. Cold front comes in Sunday night, hopefully.
- to take the time to make French onion soup. Mine isn’t the greatest I’ve ever tasted by any stretch but I was happy to use up my onions and stock. Now I just have to eat a lot of soup so it doesn’t go bad.
- for coffee
- for my trusty dishwasher. It tends to work overtime when the kids are around.
- that my son was cooperative around finishing the homework I told him he needed to. I’m trying not to let my guard down because I know there are more battles in store as he works to catch up from being out sick last week (when his dad apparently let him play endless video games and go out with friends but was totally oblivious to the work he should have been doing, so now I get to be the bad cop all week…sorry for whine), but I’m so grateful we had a night of relative peace.
- for another day with no morning meetings
- to learn new tricks in software. I don’t think I’ll ever master Excel but I am using it—and I figured out how to put a hyperlink in my email signature so people can just book time in my calendar.
- to hear on a podcast that humans are by nature completionists (wanting to finish tasks) and to very much resonate with that.
- for all of you.

Fearless Hope all is well with you. Sending good vibes your way.
I am going to see my mom this morning. So tired again. I hope my sister went to see her yesterday. I'm bringing her papers and a book. My other sister brought her a bunch of books, so that will take some pressure off for having to go to the library for a little while. I hope she likes the books, the way she speeds through them, I'll have to go get more. I'm not sure my sister knows the kind of books she likes.
Alpine, wishing you the best.
CBS, awesome pictures.
Hev, you must be a good hostess for all these people dropping in on you! I hope it's not stressful. I'm not fond of people dropping in unannounced either,
Love and peace to all of you. Have a wonderful day. So grateful for you all and your posts. I'm grateful I have this group of friends!

Grateful to start a (paid) work project. I don't have them very often so I actually enjoy them now ... as opposed to when I was full-time and felt burdened.
Grateful to be having dinner with the kids and grandkids tonight.
Grateful for a good night's sleep.
Grateful to be feeling well.
Grateful for all of you.
