Hi all, it finally started snowing a bit after it got dark.

Tonight I'm grateful for
- finishing cleaning the fridge and got all the inside parts put back together
-figuring out how to get the heater together
-wonderful brussel sprouts that my renter brought me
-support from my siblings as my Dad is having lots of pain - ugh

Sleep well all.

Grateful for all of you.
Grateful to be doing some laundry, although I do have to take something for pain to do it. My legs and back are still hurting, but I like to think, maybe a little better. Like Least, I've always been so active, it's really a bummer to not be able to do all the things you like to do before the injuries.
Least and Alpine, you're in my prayers.
Grateful for some rain last night.
Have a wonderful rest of the day and evening.

Good to see you, Erratic, and maybe in the morning too.
Aly, hope your back and legs continue to feel better.
Astro, I'm keeping that battle armor on!

Grateful tonight for holiday lights twinkling outside. I used to inwardly judge neighbors' holiday decorating tastes. Now I'm just grateful for anything people want to do to express their joy. (OK, I can still be a little bit judgy, but I try not to be!)
Grateful to get all the holiday cards finished and ready for the mail.
Grateful for my neighbor's kid - still young enough to be excited when he sees me.
Grateful for the people who smile at us during walks with my dog.
Grateful to be feeling better and hangover free!
Grateful for all of you.

Alpine and Sneezy, good for you both for staying strong. Those cravings do pass. Every now and then, I will get one even after almost five years and I distract myself, reflect a bit with curiosity, and they pass.
Least, awesome about the house shoes
BKA, I’m sorry your dad is in pain. It’s hard to watch. Glad your family is all working together to support him

Grateful for my work team and getting support when I need it
Grateful for a hearing exam and to find out my hearing loss is not as bad as I thought.
Grateful for Costco

I often reflect on those words of wisdom, "getting old is not for the weak" In spite of the leg and arm pain I now experience I'm grateful to still be on my feet and able to put in some long days, and also to get out and enjoy the outdoors that I love.

Grateful for a nice evening last night with my stepdaughter and grandkids.
Grateful that all things come to pass. I'm on my 3rd day of an 13 day work assignment and the end won't come soon enough!

Grateful for some light snow today
Grateful for a warm house
Grateful I survived taking my Mom to the Dr's. My Mom tends to be very ,very, stubborn along with dementia which makes it challenging,. I have worked with people with dementia for close to 30 years so I know how hard it is. She has a l ways been that way. Then I had to deal with my sister who is exactly like my Mom..Stubborn,controlling,dominating. She can be very rude and demeaning to me. Well anyways I persevered and kept focused and did not have anything to drink
Grateful for working on a quilt..I am fixing my niece's quilt that my MIL made for her many years ago.
Grateful to have a nice conversation with my MIL this evening
Grateful for all of you

Grateful to my brother for tirelessly taking care of Billie and the cats. Twice a day, before and after work, he comes and feeds Billie and takes her out. Then he feeds the stray cats and cleans the cat boxes. Bless his heart.

Grateful to whomever suggested I start practicing gratitude every day to cure my doldrums and strengthen my sobriety.

Alpine, I know a few of us here have had parents who suffered with dementia, our hearts are with you and we understand Even through the difficulties, I found it an honor to be sober and caring for my father as best as I could.

Grateful to talk to one of my few surviving relatives last night and reminisce about the holidays of years past.
Grateful for the humorous tech who did my MRI yesterday, finally.

Grateful for the luxury of being such a couch potato today. I did take the pup for a longish walk but only one. He's giving me the stink eye now.
Grateful for my little home, nothing fancy but it's mine (well...and the bank, but I'm working on that).
Grateful that it is looking like the new COVID variant will not cause more serious illness than previous variants, even though more contagious. And also that the vaccines and boosters should continue to be effective.
Grateful to wake up and realize that weird dreams are just dreams.

Grateful for SR.

Grateful that today is Friday. Grateful that my clients trust me enough to ask for my help. Grateful that one who is being evicted has a place to go. Grateful to be going to a friend's house this weekend who has a hot tub... My body is screaming for some hot tub time! Grateful I didn't smoke today even though I very much wanted to. Grateful for vegan matzo ball soup.
