Grateful to be in Florence, in a lovely apartment above Piazza della Repubblica.

Grateful to have had a wonderful time in Nice. I ended up extending my stay there two extra nights, to nearly a week.

Grateful to have had a lovely romantic interlude while there with a British film producer. I'll return again at the end of my journey, in December.

Grateful for the way she thinks, and the insights her thoughts gave me.

Grateful for all of the closed doors that were leading the wrong way.

Grateful to feel accepting of the transience of things.

Grateful to be shedding old beliefs. This is a remarkable journey.

Mags, lol! I’m not sure if you are being facetious. No Buffalo wings in the UK? Spicy hot deep fried chicken wings! Interesting to think about different foods around the world. That reminded me of when Mr F and I were in Australia at a deli and I asked for cheese on my sandwich. The menu said “tasty” cheese. When I asked what kind of tasty cheese, the young waitress just said Tasty, and we went round and round in circles. Then I learned tasty is actually the type of cheese there. 😆 It was Tasty by the way

Grateful the paleo blueberry muffins I made last night turned out delicious.

Fearless, ah I’ve heard of chicken wings (they’re so teenyweeny though) I really was thinking do buffaloes 🐃 have wings. Me facetious, never! , well sometimes ok but not this time. by the way, did you know the word facetious uses all the vowels in all the right order! Useful to know if you’re stuck in a grocery queue and want to make conversation.
Daisy is fine, I think the days are even shorter now since clock change. I know she has SR and all of us in her heart even if she can’t get every day. xx

Grateful to read about Deserto’s travels! I loved Nice. Several of my friends and I did a year abroad in different places and at one point we all met in Nice. I remember someone bought the biggest bag of olives somewhere and we sat at the water’s edge (not calling it a beach because of all those damn rocks) eating them and of course had lots of wine but then got to eat bouillabaisse in some basement restaurant. My friends were obsessed with it. I don’t really remember it being great or bad. I have this memory of a beautiful day and the sea air, the brine of the olives, and I guess also just being young and having a lot of life laying out in front of me.
Grateful for all of your support about my family. I got to this conference and haven’t even heard from my mom. I hope she is okay. I’ll check on her later today.
Grateful to be a sober person at a conference. We went out to a big team dinner the first night. I can only imagine the agony of being told we could order a cocktail. One! Can you imagine?! And sitting there for hours nursing the same drink! I ended up spilling my entire drink on someone’s lap anyhow but I guess that’s just how I am!
Grateful last night I just came up to the room and ordered room service then got the presentation ready for tomorrow. It’s been really stressful with not having clear instructions and not being able to set stuff up like I’m supposed to. At least I got some practice yesterday. Anyhow, it felt so nice and nourishing to just not try and figure out where to go to dinner and who to go with and talk about the date I had with my bed.
Grateful to be up and at ‘em nice and early. Might go do the sunrise yoga class but I think it’s outside and that sounds too cold!
Grateful to be surrounded by kindness here and often IRL.
