Grateful my mom is moving to her rehab place today later this afternoon. She is insisting that I come over and get her "settled". It's almost closing time by the time she'll get there. She is really being super high maint. as if it isn't already. I had to call the supervisor to see if I could come in and get her settled after visitor hours were over.
She isn't thinking straight. It's hard not to get frustrated with her at this point. Trying to let Go and Let God. 💗
Have a wonderful day.
Grateful for all of you.

Grateful Aly is hanging in there with her mom. Aly, wonder if there is some kind of online support group for the challenges of helping a parent through major health challenges/old age. I know there are disease specific support groups. Seems worth a look as it is just a lot to have weighing on you without more support.
Grateful for 8 hours of sack time.
Grateful I survived 1 out of 2 mega play dates my kids talked me into. Yesterday my son had six other 13 year olds over. They actually did a pretty good job of regulating themselves. They just made a lot of messes! Today it’s the girls, but not as many of them thank goodness.
Grateful I got the garage cleaned up. Still probably should have gotten rid of more stuff but definitely made good progress.
Grateful for all of you.

Aly, totally agree with Mags that your mom is very lucky to have you.
Fearless, I LOVE not having to worry about babysitters anymore - SO liberating!

Grateful for coffee.
Grateful for a good night's sleep.
Grateful my husband went to pick up my son and his friend from a campout.
Grateful my husband's visit to the ER yesterday turned out to be nothing (sometimes I think he suffers from anxiety/panic attacks but he's adamant that's not the case, so...)
Grateful I can drive him at 3 a.m. stone-cold sober.
Grateful I was able to go back to bed for a couple of hours when we got home.
Grateful my older son had a great day yesterday.
Grateful for my comfortable bed.
Grateful for chilly fall weather.
Grateful for my fun hobby of home decorating, analysis paralysis notwithstanding.
Grateful that I'm only tied to my office for 8 hours on two days of the week - the other three I can come and go as needed! I know it won't last forever, but I'm so thankful to have it for now.
Grateful to be sober.

Grateful for a good night's sleep.
Grateful for Sunday.
Grateful I get to play tennis today for the first time in weeks because I was so sick.
Grateful for a nice brunch with SIL and no one drank alcohol. I had a delicious kale apple fresh pressed juice.
Grateful for my sobriety.
Grateful for all of you and SR.

Grateful for your kindness. It is such a worry. I am going to go over to see her after 10, visiting hours. The poor thing. My heart just breaks for her.
Grateful to know I have such wonderful supportive friends. NL, thank you so much.
Grateful for all of you. You're helping me through this difficult time.

Aly - You & your mom are in my prayers. I hope she'll adapt to the place & not mind it too much.
PalmerSage - Glad your husband is ok! Yes, imagine that - 3am & able to drive sober. That was never the case for me for too many years. I can't believe I somehow justified that way of life.
Grateful to have Christmas shopping about 1/2 done.
Grateful MrH enjoys caring for the house. He's now outside happily leaf blowing.
Grateful my latest bloodwork was quite good - low cholesterol, but need to keep an eye on sugar.
Grateful for no 3am wake ups lately.
Grateful for coffee with seasonal flavored creams (speaking of sugar).
Love to all!

Grateful that my brother went to the store for me today and got me some good food. Also grateful that my neighbor's son is going to come over today to feed Billie and take her out. He'll also come over at 9 to take her out for her bedtime potty.

Grateful for coffee.
Grateful that today is a telework day, even though I need to drive an hour for a lunch meeting. It should actually be fun, once we get past the initial awkwardness of not having seen each other since pre-Covid.
Grateful for the vintage mercury glass hurricanes and the faux moving-wick candles I found - it makes such a difference in the coziness factor of the house to have them flickering all day.
Grateful to have rediscovered bag salads - there are some pretty good ones out there.
Grateful for some bonding time with my younger son.
Grateful to be thinking ahead to some summer programs for him. Grateful for his overall maturity level.
Grateful for a decent night's sleep.
Grateful for SNL.
Grateful that my older son and husband spent some time with my MIL.
Grateful to be sober.

Aly, grateful for you looking after your mom ❤️ Glad she has full support and medical care
Palmer, glad you mentioned bag salads. I love them too
Grateful to be back after a short trip to NV to visit a friend.
Grateful to be in good enough shape for two long hikes, one being a strenuous 10 mile, and keep up with my Uber fit friend
Grateful to keep my boundaries as far as not drinking and asserting myself and saying something finally to my very pushing friend about drinking and having 0 interest in gambling. She’s a tough one. I can see her drinking has gotten worse since last time I saw her. This is after she’s talked about wanting to cut back. Hopefully, she’ll figure it out
Grateful for beautiful weather
Grateful to be home
Grateful sonny boy saw his old friend at the birthday party.
Grateful Thanksgiving will be a smaller group than planned. Will miss the family who can’t be here but also it will be nice to have a smaller group and less prep and clean up. It is the anniversary week of both my Dad’s and one of my brothers deaths, so I think it may be difficult for me. Especially as it’s the one year anniversary of my dads death. I miss him
Grateful to have a therapy appt this week
Grateful to have stuck to healthy eating over the weekend (for the most part)

Least I am so glad you are getting help from your brother, neighbor's son, meals on wheels and your PT.
Fearless thinking of you during all the somber anniversaries.
PS I love SNL but I am behind. I have them on my DVR.
Mags I appreciate the creature comforts more and more as I get further into my sobriety. Simple things in life are important.

Grateful for a good night's sleep.
Grateful for a warm home. It is super chilly and breezy outside, but the sun is shining.
Grateful for my sobriety.
Grateful that Sarge seems to be doing better.
Grateful for gluten free Oreos.
Grateful fro SR and all of you.

Fearless - I tried to think how my parents would never want me to be sad because of their absence on holidays. Sometimes that thought calmed & comforted me.
CBS - Same here with SNL & we've no doubt missed some good stuff.
Grateful for this fun & caring group.
Grateful the birds have finally decided our feeders won't poison them. Hope the squirrels stay away.
Grateful for the lovely fall colors that still linger.
