Grateful for new beginnings.

Grateful for a fall hike in the mountains with my 2 boys, I can't think of a better way to spend my day.

Grateful I never have to worry about drinking and driving again.
Grateful I never hurt anyone when I drank and drove. By some miracle.
Grateful beyond words I found this site when I did and found the courage to reach out.
Grateful to hear birds outside. And be happy about the sound rather than miserable, hungover and ashamed.
Grateful I no longer surround myself with active alcoholics, which encouraged me to rationalize all the danger I put myself and others in.
Grateful to wake up and remember how paralyzing and shameful it felt to be held hostage by alcohol...
Grateful I never need to feel that way again.

Grateful to have spent time with friends yesterday, and didn't need to drink to enjoy myself.

Grateful for another day of sober living with so much to learn about changing me so that things get different.

And acceptance is the answer to all of my problems today.

Grateful for a day at home alone. I'm going to put some thought towards my time/self management. A bit of a weekly review.
