Grateful for people who reach out and touch our lives with even the smallest of gestures. Sometimes the gentlest touch makes a big impact.

So very grateful my psa tests and the ultrasound of my kidneys and bladder came back normal. I was worried the past several months from a previous psa test that was higher than the normal range.

Grateful that England are finally going to kick off soon and grateful I'll be staying up to watch them - no doubt tomorrow I'll be grateful that I'm half-Welsh!

Grateful for meeting up with a friend for lunch today.

Grateful for a walk with my parents, we all had a good chat and laughed a lot, despite some health problems that they are facing.

Grateful for a lovely, warm evening to water the vegetable plot.

Grateful for getting the idea to store away my dark colored bedding and bedroom curtains for the summer and put up light pastel curtains and bedding. What an amazing difference it made in my mood.

Grateful the stains on the bedroom rug from the dog getting sick last night seem to be completely up and clean after some special treatment and scrubbing.

Grateful the dog seems fine.

Grateful the HOA responded quickly to my inquiry about cutting some limbs.

Grateful i was able to push myself to do some things i didn't want to, and said no to a last minute invite that would have had me putting off these things even longer.

Grateful to see the big picture.

Grateful to wake up this morning and allow myself to feel some peace of mind. It takes being off of work Sat and Sun just to even get a little peace of mind.

Money problems, my supervisor at work who abuses his power and puts way too much pressure on me, my kids annoying me, moving worries as I'm in the process of moving, my mom being sick in the hospital with awful health problems, is enough to always have those thoughts creep in and disrupt my peace of mind.

And you know what thought popped in my head yesterday? Just getting away and having a cold beer and just relaxing. This while having 22 years of continuous sobriety.

Grateful for the men in recovery who are an example to me of what a sober father looks like. Happy Father's Day to all.

Wishing Uncle serenity and strength.

Grateful my Dad liked his fathers day gift and seems to be making new friends.

Grateful my sister made us brunch and gave me extra flowers dug up from her garden to mine.

Grateful I found my binoculars.

Grateful I laid two more bags of mulch and will do another tomorrow night. They're so heavy I just do a few at a time. Showing my age. Lol .

Grateful for my droid which allows me to play birdcalls to help me figure what birds I am seeing and hearing.

Grateful for the thought of a drink as I sat on the patio. Yes grateful because that tells me I am a real alcoholic. Only a true alcoholic would fantasize about a drink, after alcohol near ruined them and their life!

Grateful I went to church this morning. I had totally forgotten it was Fathers' Day and I probably wouldn't have realized it had I not happened to be at church. My dad is undergoing radiation for some weird skin cancer and I needed to go visit him. Thank you, God, for working in mysterious ways!

And grateful for the wonderful peaches I bought at a country store yesterday and for the busy-day pie I made with them. I added cinnamon and black pepper to the otherwise very basic recipe. The peaches were so sweet that it was a good thing I added the spices; otherwise, the pie would have been TOO sweet. Mmmm.....

Love and hugs,
Eddie

Grateful I did not go to a family (dys) function this afternoon. Grateful I am spending it with myself and my dog and having a pretty nice time in a weird way. Grateful I went to church this morning and saw a new friend who is great, kind as well as beautiful, inside and out, and smart.

Grateful for a peaceful evening planned.
