I'd like to welcome anyone new to SR and new to this thread.
Weekends can be a tough time, and that's what this thread is about - support.

Weekend thread always reminds me, that until 20 months ago I was a 'weekend warrior' - would start drinking around 5pm on a Friday and sip beers on-and-off until Sunday.
The result? A ruined Pancreas and daily Insulin shots.
The Pancreas is only 6 inches long guys and it can only take so much battering.
SO.... be clever - don't drink this weekend

So looking forward to not wasting two days sitting crunched over a bottle, hungover and dehydrated for two days! I'm starting Lyft driving to keep me occupied. Wish me luck!

Happy Friday! I have a challenging night tonight. One drinking party I'm serving at, another I am attending! Yikes. All I want is to go to bed sober tonight. Will check in late and let you know how it went!

It is really easy to give the weekend over to
drinking and using. I did it for over 30 years. What a waste! The good times will be lost to your memory by the following day but other people will remember any bad thing that you did or said for ever. Getting your autonomy back from alcohol dependence is a great feeling, it's like escaping from an invisible jail.
LOL! I used to look a bit like that on my way home from a drinking session.
Still, it could be worse...

Good Morning, I'm in for the weekend. Will be on a mini vacation with my Mother this weekend and then on to a business trip through the middle of next week. I'll be checking in from my phone - hard to maneuver sometimes, so might just be a quick hello. But I'll be here. Thank you! Oh, LOVE the photo, Dragon. So cool.
