I know what you mean, Intro! I think anxiety is worse when idle too. I've been unable to work for the 11yrs., but I keep busy everyday ( 4hrs is the minimum I've set. )I also sell at a local online auction every wk. Buy low, sell high! I sold on eBay for yrs., but I like that I don't need to package & ship w/this local auction house. If I didn't keep busy, I'd go insane from boredom lol!

Put in a full day at work today........got the blues after lunch so since theres not much to do there, I walked around campus for a bit.....

Had no anxiety for a few days (knock on wood), which is good, but Ive been so bluesy .......sigh

Like I said, its a phase that passes I guess.....Body goes thru changes and manifests this sort of thing....

Is there any good info out there on liver detox? I read that warm lemon water is a good way to detox.....

Water alone is always good, but with added lemon, Im always reading where it works wonders to cleanse the body of toxins as well....

Anyone?

Hey Intro,
I don't know a thing about liver detox, but lemon water sounds healthy to me.
I've read that using vinegar in various ways works too. I think there's even books written about it, like Vinegar for Dummies lol ( I haven't a clue about the names, as I've read any of them haha. )
I hope you're having a good day, my friend!

Merry Xmas Introvrtd

It's probably not the popular view but my y old Dr always said the body already has the best detox system money can buy - liver and kidneys - so drink some water daily, eat well and wisely, get enough sleep and get outa the way and let them work

Well.......Day 12, Christmas....

Seems like feeling normal has gotten weird....Its hard to get used to because I feel like I should becoping with some underlying, simmering anxiety or depression....

Well, there is still the bit of depression.....but still....

The calm is so surreal....sleep is incredible and the will to get out and do the world has been a little overwhelming at this point ....

Don't get me wrong, its a great feelin....

Guess I just have to get used to thisnew chapter in my life and lifestyle.

Hey Intro,
SW is right. That surreal feeling will give way to normalcy, but it takes time. I looked at it this way. My body & brain needed to heal after all the yrs of abuse & neglect I inflicted on them.

You'll be at 2wks tomorrow & you're doing awesome! I loved it when the days turned into wks, then the wks into mo's & mo's into a yr.!

I've been reading about this '30 day - No Alcohol' thing a lot of people have done, and one thing I've noticed about what they said is......Once they got to 30 days, they felt so good, they went another.....and another.....and another.....

That's what Im shooting for....

The anxiety hit me again about two hours ago......Bad time because I felt reallu good n calm for days....

Going back to work tomorrow morning early after a week off. Now this....uuugghh

On top of that I need to sleep but can't right now...been pacing the floor trying to get tired....

Looks like the reason for all this is im weaning partially off one of my bp meds since i was doing so well...

turns out it may be contributing to my anxiety.

Hey Intro,
I just saw your post now ( I don't know how I missed it...sorry. ) Was your anxiety any better today, since you went back to work?
My grandsons went home to their parents tonight, so things are back to normal again lol. Now I know why I had my kids when I was young hehe.

Sigh...

I hate this....

Yea, early recovery pretty much sucks, Intro. But sobriety is so rewarding & so worth it in the end. Have you employed any anti anxiety measures, like meditating, deep breathing, coloring or exercise?
Happy New Yr!
