where the hell was Shwartzeneger or Ann?...I needed rescueing...and quickly...

These codies were unreliable, they were only available 99 per cent of the time. Hell, he might have to sort this one out himself!

........This is why I was against Arnie becoming Govenor of California.I knew he wouldnt be around when I needed him.And then I saw another bus coming down the road.Was it? Could it be? YES!!! It was The Newbie Bus.3Legacy was driving,and I could see Sherry,and Overit and 2dazemuse waving to me.At last,I had been rescued.I jumped in and asked where they where headed,not that it mattered.........

... but luckily this time it was just a dream. I was so tired that I had fallen asleep. I struggled awake with the help of Sherry's coffee. Ang handed me a crumpled Easter basket and I dug around in the grass for some left over chocolate. Much better. I am starting to feel almost human again.

*bump* *thump*

What's that? It's Chy hanging on to the bumper of the Newbie bus! Just then she saw me and shrieked...

The mutt and I hitched a ride in to the next town in the back of a pick up truck.
He snuggled close, tail wagging when I scratched his ears... Big, clear brown eyes. Like he'd been looking for me all this time.

"Rover." he said. I swore, but what could I do? His lips (do dogs have lips?) didn't move. But his eyes locked into mine and said "Rover, rover rover," to the irriitating thump of his Labridorean tail.

"OK Rover. Whatever you say," I said. "Where the hell are we at?"

Rover said nothing, and just kept walking like a damed potted plant with legs. I folllowed, hoping he would get thirsty so I could forget to water him. We walked up to a Methodist church. I smelled barbecue and beer to the east, but Rover headed to the stairs. I followed right up to that first concrete star. But then ...

....The smell of the BBQ was too much for someone who had not eaten anything but a ham sandwich, half a burritto and some fudge in the last couple days.So I headed over to the BBQ and beer.As I walked over and grabbed a plate,I could believe who I saw..........

As I ate my food,I kept looking at the cold beer.It looked so good and I was thirsty.But I was also on day 2 without a drink.I couldnt blow it now.So,I finished my plate and walked over to the highway.I stood on the corner.I had to get out of Winslow,I needed to get out of Arizona.So as I was standing on the corner in Winslow......

(sheesh.... sigh.... ok) So as I was standing on the corner in Winslow.... AZ, there was such a fine sight to see. It was a girl, my Lord, in an aftermarket BMW slowin' down to take a look at me. I said, "Come on, baby, don't say maybe I gotta know if your sweet love is gonna save me. We may lose and we may win though we will never be here again so open up, I'm climbin' in, so take it easy."

She looked me up and down and...
