The Island of Misfit Drunks
I'm upset.
I've eaten, and liked, poutine.
Time for you to try grits.
It's just a coarse ground corn porridge served with a minimum of butter and black pepper. You can add anything...cheese, bacon, country ham, red eye gravy(another something you've probably never had, you poor soul).
I should send you some.

I hope its not something cooked in blood, my friend from the Philippines invited me over for dinner, and she was cooking the food in blood- I really didn't want to eat it, but I did to be polite.

I want to try all of that, Trach!
That's ok Cow I am happy that you can sleep. Besides like I said I graduated from no sleep to crap sleep! Sadly, I do believe there are cows in beef. But then, maybe they mean that cows prepare the broth! Beef broth... brought to you by... beef! There they are, happily stirring up a highly secret recipe known only to beef cows. I am sure that's the case
Wow Jbodhi you just informed this gal about a lot regarding Canada, here I thought there's no violence there and as for the missing aboriginal women! How cool that you are doing your schooling in something so needed and important.
You guys are so much cooler than me.

Red eye gravy is one of the elixirs of the gods.
You take Southern, salt-cured country ham and fry it in a cast iron pan until slightly crispy around the edges. Remove the ham to drain and turn up the heat on the pan and the drippings in it. pour in about 1/2 cup of black coffee and stir the pot until all the little crusty bits are loose and in the liquid.
Just pour this in a bowl and spoon over eggs, grits, biscuits, along with the fried ham. The dark colored stuff in the middle, the red eye, is the tastiest.
I'll find you some good grits. They do make instant, and quick, but the best are slow cooked. Can take a half hour. Worth it.

JB, right now I watching BBC's "Life and Death Row." Is very interesting to see UK take on American death penalty. I does know about "highway of tears" as both 48 Hour and Dateline cover it.
SR, I does tend toward disheveled rogue types, and if they got some guyliner on, well, gods help me. But I a Crone now, and would take amazing male to lure me out of Cronehood.
How you going, Trach?
PS. If we starts talking about okra again, my head gonna explodes.
PPS. Sleepies, you funny!

Sounds good! I have nothing to exchange except maple syrup!?!?!
I can always use real maple syrup. There's maple-walnut crescent rolls, maple brussels sprouts, maple-ginger carrots...just all kinds of uses.

Your taste in books is quite sophisticated!
I just want to work in that field because I get really angry, and doing something about it kinda eases that anger ( sometimes)
Canada does have a lot less violence than a lot of other places- but some parts are pretty rough.
When the American Hell's Angels came here to set up a chapter- the Canadian ones started going crazy and killing people from the other biker gangs that wouldn't join the HA.
Apparently a few of the American chapters were like " whoa, these guys are kinda scary" haha.
I might like to move to USA or another crimey/ murderey country to fully use my degree for a bit at some point too- I have time to move around; crime isn't going away anytime soon.....
Loooong! I started work at 9 am, then worked until I chatted with you guys on here in the evening, and went back to work until 11:00 pm.
Now I have to try and force myself to sleep because I need to get up at 6 am to go back to work
Livin the dream over here....
How was the rest of your day?
I hate working so late, because then I get home and I'm not tired; but I know I have to get up again soon.
This is when I would often drink to sleep.
Now I'll lay here staring at the ceiling until I hopefully fall asleep :/
