helloooo, sobertobers! welcome to sr! this place has such a wealth of support. no matter how you feel, there is someone around who understands. tons of encouragement here. good luck on getting and staying sober this month, you can totally do it!

Welcome to SR!
I am from class October 2012. Now I love October, even with its cold weather and rains, and breath of winter coming slowly... Because in October I found SR and it really changed my life.
I've got the greatest and warmest support here, got new friends who encourage me during the toughest and hardest times, and give me their faith when darkness of doubts and memories from the past attack me.
I love this place - because you can share your feelings and concerns without being afraid to be judged. And it's just awesome!
In October 2012 I was sitting in front of my laptop, crying and feeling desperate, not knowing where to turn for help. Now I've found and developed the precious gift of sobriety - hope and new vision.
Take the first step, take one day at a time, believe in yourself. Even if right now you may feel like everything is falling apart in your life - take the first step in faith, and there will be road ahead.
I wish you the best of luck on your sobriety journey!

I'm new to the forum and just want to say hi. I managed to go 12 days in September alcohol free, but ended up getting drunk on September 29 (thought I could one and done; not so). So, I guess September 30th is not only my birthday, but the restart to sobriety.
