Z, that's interesting that you wrote what you did. Be it seeing someone overweight and starting out lifting at the gym, walking/running, cycling, or whatever I applaud them. Not literally of course, but just like me they're trying and there's no shame in that.

Do you ever wonder why we became bipedal and learned to run? It wasn't to escape. It was to kill. We ran prey into the ground. Stabbed it when we got close and just kept chasing. Ran it into the round.

Just keep chasing folks. Just keep chasing.

Weights workout is done for the day and I'm about to start packing because we're going away for the weekend in a few hours. I'm bringing my running gear, but for the next couple of days my highest priority will be spending time with family.

While away I won't be doing any cooking; we have an all inclusive plan at the inn which has includes decent food, but one must make good choices which I will. Nonetheless, after so many restaurant meals I expect to be experiencing some sodium bloat before the weekend is over. Hydration for the win!

I'm in! I have started walking and have really enjoyed it even in the heat. Its too hot to even take my dog since she has a lot of fur ! I too have 20 plus pounds to lose which snuck up on me over the last few years of wine drinking! Hope we all get to where we want to be!!

the best thing i did today was watch Belgium kick Hungary to the curb 4-0 -- anyone else into the European cup???

All I can say is the rest of Europe is rooting for Iceland tomorrow.... (for those not entrenched in the EC, they are playing England and after the Leave vote, we just saying goodbye.... know what I am saying....)

Hi cow. You're awful cute! Stepped out of the comfort zone today and cooked dinner for 10 people.... Added benefit is the home gets cleaned-win-win!

I just spent a week camping with my sons scout troop and walked an average of 11 miles a day, hoping to find time to schedule some long walks each day now that I'm back to civilization.

Hi 007, thank you, yes, is well known my adorability is unsurpass.

Wow, everybody doing great. Like Herculean feats and stuff. ... ... My big move is to allow self to be a slug and nap a lot, so I can keep off caffeine. But, if you knowing of my history, you know is a HUGE and important endeavor for me. You all keepa go!

Croutie. Appreciate you honesty. As my brother say, so what if you already quit 5,000 time, maybe is 5,001 time is the one.

Aside from a short and very hilly walk on Saturday I didn't exercise this weekend while away. As planned. That ends this morning because I'll be going to the gym to lift weights.

I am impressed.

Cow, I think we count naps as a work out for us and we all good -- for long time I count watching sports as excercise and I be great.

Croutie, how about giving yourself credit for the days on and off -- so like I am plus 40 days and minus 5 days. If not it becomes like a diet and once you've blown it the sky is the limit and we all know that ends badly.

The minute I gave myself permission to fail, I succeeded -- life is funny that way.

I went for a brisk walk last night; ended up in a park where there was live music being played. I was refreshing.

Thank you Dropsie; I think you have given me another way of looking at my situation. Instead of feeling like a total failure and screw up, I am going to give myself credit for all the days that were good, and move forward. Thanks again, I needed that!

Cow, we only have to stay quit one time.

Visiting family and suffering heat, humidity and bugs. Family is wonderful but they always have a drink in the hand, they never get crazy or stupid. They even know enough not to drive! Damnation, it's amazing.

So, I've eaten way too much, have bug bites (WTH???) and have some anxiety but all that will pass.

Congrats to you all!

Love from Lenina

After a weekend away where I ate too much and exercised too little I was feeling bloated and sluggish this AM. A "kick my butt" gym session with my trainer this morning and focused nutritional choices so far has put that feeling in the rear view mirror.
