Early Riser Check-in Thread Part 30
Welcome Sarah
I'm glad Pyewacket has come home, he's obviously a party guy.
That is great that you got to see the Stones so close up Astro. That makes the late night worthwhile. All the best to your brother.
A rare Swiss built car Zen, very smart. There is an even rarer 4 door version of the 375 which unusally looks even better than the coupe (imo) Most of 'em went to the Middle East, more than they admitted building. Peter Monteverdi was very secretive about production numbers. I have never seen one, even in a museum.

My brother's free paratransit service never showed up to take him home from PT, so he called a Lyft. Ugh, annoying, so much for getting him some transportation other than me!
Two more nights of working Hispanic concerts, then I'm taking the weekend off to take my wife to a concert. Chris Isaak, it'll be a great show.

Man! I went for my annual over 60s health check. Weight 105kgs/230lbs. My bathroom scales are wrong, they say i'm 100kg. I'm still in the yellow zone for BMI which is encouraging but seems odd. Also blood pressure OK -ish - 143/92 and cholesterol just under 4. They want me to go back in two weeks "for a chat". How disappointing. It looks like I have a Summer of salads ahead of me.
Astro, I'm so sorry that happened. That is really a disappointment Sending love and prayers to you and your brother that all works out. Gatorman, sending love and prayers to you. Alpine, hope you're feeling a little more rested. Listen to your body and try to rest when it's telling you you're tired. s
I got my tooth pulled yesterday. Boy after the stuff wore off, that is super painful. I am hearing all these things have to heal before they can put the implant in. I have to go back Monday for two crowns.
I need to go to the dreaded Walgreens and pick up some antibiotics and lite pain meds, although I feel like I need heavy ones! Just joking. Sometimes it's surprising how just a little can help. I think afterward I am going to do laundry at my sisters house. I really don't feel like doing it, but there isn't much time left and her husband comes home from being in LA for a while working.
It's sunny and quite warm today.
Sao, I can sympathize with you. I am always watching my weight. I've lost a bit lately. It's easier on my knee. I am kind of on a portion control thing. I eat pretty much what I want, just a small amount. Sometimes it works. Good luck, esp with the salads for summer!
I hope you all have a wonderful day. I was up super early today and I said, no, I'm going back to sleep, so I did for an hour or so. It felt good.
Love and peace to some of my favorite people.

Sao, Zilla Cat on a hobby layout...disaster of Cat-a-strophic proportions
I'm 6' 2" and weigh 200lb/90kg, 25 lbs from my target weight of 185lb/84kg. I used to weigh 260lb/118kg with all that beer drinking I guess. Micky D didn't help either.
Up early, coffee, new hobby table at least 5x bigger that the little bedside cart I was using...life is good caffeinated

I had my physical six months ago. The Doctor want's a follow up this month with labs. Cholesterol and blood sugar are the concerns. I average about 175lbs and he want's me to loose 10. It's hard to find time for exercise when your hobbies take up all your time. Oh well. I like my doctor because he cares enough to nag me.
Yay Friday! And payday to boot! Instead of the booze shop, you'll find me in the tool shop (Lee Valley) today spending my allowance.
Street cleaners and thunderstorms kept me up last night.
Have a great day y'all!

Chloe, we are experiencing that 25 degree drop in temps and rain that you had yesterday. Brr.
Aly, heal quickly. I am always very cautious with prescription pain killers being an addict. I rather deal with a little pain than relapse, though I have never had an issue with pills, thank goodness.
I think once you hit your sixties, doctors automatically tell patients to lose ten to fifteen pounds. Easier said than done.
Have a good day all!

Thanks SG. I am very prudent with them, believe me. I appreciate the concern. They are very mild, whatever they are. I've been taking Tylenol mostly. I just wanted to make sure I got the antibiotic down.
It is going to be warm and sunny today.
Up quite early, glad to have a low key day. I am so glad to see all your posts.
Have a wonderful day. Love to you all.

Sao, I'm 5' 8" 180lbs, heart doc wants me at 155 but yeah I enjoy eating and snacking so it almost feels impossible but I try to make healthy choices. As far as BP they always want me to strive for below 120 on the systolic, I'm rarely below 130.
I tried to get an easy position guarding a stairwell last night but the managers weren't having it. First I worked the entry gates, then moved to the concert floor to keep aisles clear, guarded a platform where the artists popped up on an elevator, then moved to VIP to control lines for swag bags. Whew, my feet are killin' me today. With any luck I'll be guarding dressing rooms tonight oh please oh please
