I chose to practice addiction treatment principals.

mystery to not drugging/drinking when determination to recover is at play.

because I have no desire to. (I'm not sure when that happened, or if it will last, but I like that!) I remember always wishing I had no desire to drink, now that it's happened I certainly want to keep it that way!

... because an old friend is in the hospital at this moment recovering from an overdose. As much as I hope he gets pointed in the right direction, there's also a part of me that knows I could easily have been using with him; it could easily have been me.
