I will not drink/drug today because (insert your reason)
 

I choose to not become a silly http://www.mazeguy.net/silly/crazy.gif hot mess after I pick-up that first drink.

I will not drink today because I know in my head and my heart that it will do so much damage to me and to those I love. I've already done enough damage and don't want to do any more.

I might have a beer today but I kinda doubt it on account of I gotta go to the gym but I definitely ain't doin none of the other, forever, thank you, amen.

I will not drink today, because I'm moody and would surely fire off some regretful emails. :a213:

I will do the things i did to keep me sober yesterday today, and again tomarrow....

Thats all i can promise.

I won't use today because I always feel like cr@p for 2 days afterward. Is it really worth it for a few hours of not-really-fun?

I won't drink today because I never want to act like this again:

I will not do drugs today because at this moment my ex is on F@cebook chat asking me to buy him coke and I want to be spiteful by not purchasing. :)

(He's getting more ridiculous. He just told me if I won't drive it 150 miles to him tonight I should FedEx it to him in a coffee can. He must have tied one on this time).

I won't drink/drug today because...well Alizerin's link shows it best.

I will not drink or drug today for two reasons: 1. The mental obsession has been 'lifted'.
2. I need to be present in my life today.

I will not drink today because it will only make things so much worse... and make me feel horrible, and it's just not worth the money, the time, the energy, or the regret.

I will not drink today because I value a healthy body and a clear mind more than the passing pleasure (?) some booze will bring.

Because: I have no hope with dope...today I choose not to lose hope.

I will not drink or do drugs today because I used to be a hopeless dope fiend, and now I'm a dopeless hope fiend!

drinking/drugging limits my life options to jails, institutions and death.

I will not drink today because it would only make me feel worse and would not make the situation better.

I will not drink today because I'm grateful to be present for my children.

When I was early in recovery, there was a place I wanted to be (to get to). I knew it was possible because others were there already. ....and.....that's the reason why....

...I will not drink/drug today.......because.....(preta got the closest to mine with here reason #1).......:
