I will not drink today because even wrestling with the IDEA of it yesterday gave me a hangover. It's just not worth it.

A big reason not to drink is because sober = happy and drinking = depressed.

because it's day 10, and how could I screw up having finally gotten to double digits?

And also because, I literally cannot remember the last time I went 10 days without drinking. It has probably been many years. I was able to make it to a week earlier this year but 10 days is new territory.

Because I like being victorious as everyday sober/clean is a victory.

Today I won't drink because (along with all the other reasons) I'm feeling a bit under the weather. The last thing my body needs right now is alcohol!

Sorry to hear that SBTS, I'm not so hot either. Apparently, a lot of people get sick their first month of recovery. My theory is its part of our bodies attempt to get back on an even keel. Feel better, I guess you are taking a sick day tomorrow after all!

exactly lafemme -- LOL! I feel less guilty about taking that sick day now that I'm at least somewhat sick (although if it weren't for the party issue I'd probably go to work and try to push through.)

Feel better... my husband isn't feeling well either! There is something going around.

I will not drink today because it's time for bed, and I have to start brainstorming to develop a plan to become financially independant before 2010 is over! The brain is starting to come back and I'm becoming motivated to open up a can of whoop-ass and spill it all over this bad economy!!
