Thanks Mags,
Least, I hope your procedure goes well.
I'm going on a hike with my group tomorrow. I've invited a friend for dinner on Saturday. I'm going to ask her to bring her own alcoholic beverage if she wishes, although she doesn't often drink. I'm happy I don't have to think about store closures this weekend wrt obtaining alcohol!

Dragon:
I hope both you and your wife feel better soon.
Least, I’ll be thinking about you tomorrow. I’m glad that CK will be there to take you home and to take care of you. Please check in as soon as you’re able to.
Congratulations on one year Kensie!

Having departed from Christianity, for a long time I had an strong aversion to Easter. For me It was a time of drug excess and raunchous parting. I sometimes hosted Black Mass parties on Easter. All sorts of debauchery back in the day. Needless to say I had mucho problems-o's.
Not today, thank all the old and new Gods, the past is behind me and sobriety clears the way to better times coming my way. I have received many blessings in recovery to the point of amazement. I had feared I was 'out there' using for too long to recover my mood and health. Boy-o was I wrong, and thankfully so.
If your struggling today with sobriety, keep fighting. It is likely you too will recover beyond your wildest dreams. Also for a low mood practice gratitude daily. It will change who you are and how you see the world around you for the better. Thank you Least
"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend."

Congrats on a year Kensie!
Zen - thanks for super important reminder on practicing gratitude. It really does make everyday life much more enjoyable when u take the time to focus on the things in life to be grateful for. It’s so easy to go down the sink hole that is self-pity and complaining though. I am definitely working daily to catch myself doing this and replace those thoughts with something more positive. Easier said than done but am definitely working on it.
I am checking in for my 3rd consecutive sober weekend with you all. On crutches right now so I don’t have much planned in the way of physical activities but I do plan to rest, ice, read, listen to podcasts, watch Netflix/prime video/Apple TV, play card games, read/post SR, read quit drinking sub Reddit, and run errands. Normally weekends, especially holiday weekends, were just all day beer fests. What a waste of time and life!
I am committed to 24 more. ODAAT. Have a great day all!

Thinking of you least. ❤️
Good, even if in dream, you ditched the booze into a garbage bag Dragon.
I just got over a cracked rib, condolences to your wife. Really painful. 😣
Congratulations on 12 months Kenzie. A YEAR! Awesome achievement.
Enjoy the long weekend everyone. 🌻

My planned trip to Lindisfarne / Holy Island on Sunday has been put back by 6 weeks. I was talking to my cousin a few days ago and he said he wanted to go too. As there were no seats left on the coach I've rebooked for the next trip the coach company does to Holy Island, which is the second Sunday in May. I'm now planning on going for a long walk on Sunday morning, weather permitting.
Robbie, it’ll be nice to have company on your visit.
Weather here is noisy. I can hear lots of bangs with wheelie bins falling over and other things blowing about. My magnolia tree will be losing its petals. Always the same once the magnolia blooms, strong winds come. All part of nature methinks.
