To answer your queries about Roxy. The double dose meds is working insofar as she is no worse. She won't get better from her heart murmur, but worse. The vet gives her a year. She sleeps a lot, our walks are much shorter. She's not in distress. With the summer meaning hot/vhot temps, I keep the unit temp in the mid 20C's for Rox. She has a diminished diet, from not so much walking. I will take her for a vet check every 3m. She may start getting labored breathing. Aside that stuff, vet impressed with her health- weight, teeth, coat etc. She is still a blessing.

Hi everyone!
Had a great run at lunch today.
Here in the hotel near the University. Surgery is tomorrow.

Hugs to all of you.
Stay strong everyone.

Good luck Peke

I didn't know Roxy had a heart condition but i'm glad her quality of life is still good, thanks to you PJ. When I was a kid we had an Irish Setter that developed heart problems (it is common) and would not swallow his heart pills unless he was given brandy, something the vet suggested. He managed a couple more years or so.

Robbie I love the snow pic! Gosh I’d love a good storm soon. How lovely. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for the kind wishes everyone.
Lying awake. I will probably stay up all night. Out hotel is 1.7 miles from the University Hospital. But I’m scared I’ll oversleep. Even with phone alarm and wake up call.

Insidering going for a walk, but neighborhood is sketchy. There is a gym but I don’t have the right clothes. Actually I do have sweats. Maybe I should go down and use some of the weights. Yes. Might do that. Or just hang out in the lobby. Lying here is making me anxious.

I’ve had so many surgeries for endometriosis. Not sure why this one is scaring me so much. Maybe because there’s more st stake.

Oaky, I’ll stop rambling, lol.
Hi Sau, Anna, Mags, Zen, Off, Venus, Least and everyone!

Didn’t head to the gym. Probably for the best, I ran hard yesterday. I’m feeling sleepy. But will stay awake.

Take care Peke and all the best. In 6 weeks time you'll be exercising again.

PJ, sorry to read about Roxy's heart and health problems. You've been marvellous looking after her. Take care of yourself too.

The snow is all gone outside now. It rained non-stop yesterday with frequent downpours. At least the snow didn't turn to slush and then ice over. The little girl next door had built a snowman on Saturday. Yesterday it was more like a snowblob and today it's just a very tiny piece of icy slush. Everytime I see it I'm reminded of the final scene of The Snowman...

Good luck Peke,

Saou, I've been investing in the lottery retirement savings plan for many many years. The returns are practically non-existent. I'm beginning to think it's a scam.

Package went from Mississauga to Concord, to Mount Hope is is now in Winnipeg.

Happy Tuesday.

I passed the 9-year sober mark yesterday. There was no ticker-tape parade, no one remembered but me, and I almost forgot, LOL. But seriously, it was a bad day at work and in my personal life, and I did not feel like celebrating. I spent too much time remembering the bad times of drinking. Sober anniversaries sometimes do that to me. No one who is not a recovering alcoholic truly understands these sober anniversaries and how important and difficult they are. Maybe this weekend I can come up with some sort of special dessert or something to mark the event.

PJ - My dog had a heart condition. Vet gave her a year -- lived 4 more.

Roxy is lucky she has you.
