We were pretty darn busy at the house yesterday. Got the bathrooms pretty much painted, we just have to go back an put a second coat on. I am really happy with how the colors look.
We have a rowing machine which I love and is low impact which is probably best for my knees, hips and back at this point in my life. Plus we do have canoes and guide boats ( uses a rowing motion) so time to get in shape.

Runnerf, awesome that you got through what was obviously a mental challenge for you. I found that having gotten through each challenge, especially the big ones, I was on a higher plane and was in a better position for forward growth. Perhaps you already are, but I encourage you to imagine the person you want to be, with positive energy living a positive life.

Day 36, hit the gym today, cleaned a little, still feeling exhausted but trying to not nap today and go to be early. I hope my nightmares stop soon. They were bad the first two weeks, stopped and have restarted. Probably my mind working through a lot.
Hope everyone has a great start to another sober week, no hangovers, no wondering if coworkers smell the alcohol, no missing work due to drinking.

End of day 448 - Ran 5.5 kms in 38 minutes. Paced it correctly i guess, not much soreness. Had a nice dinner. Pretty relaxed, ready to go to bed. Good night from Seattle.

Looks like it's going to be another sleepless night for me. . I've already tried several times to go to bed but can't sleep.

Hey Least, sorry to hear that. Did you see a doctor? For me, melatonin helped.

Yes, my doctor recommended melatonin and it does help a bit. But it's the terrible itching that keeps me awake cause it won't let me relax and fall asleep.

The coldest I've been in is around -12c which was reached in December 2010 in my part of the UK. Some parts of the US and Canada get down to those temperatures each and every winter
I remember that era of coldness. A lot of snow over Europe that time aswell. Was supposed to visit an Arsenal-game with my dad, but all flights (and eventually the match itself) got cancelled (too).

Stay strong Alpine. Remember you are doing this for you. Drinking will not make anything better. I believe all here have learned that. No need to learn it again. Sending you prayers to get you through.

Hello Alpine, please stay strong. You've come so far. I have thrown in the towel time after time and I'm beyond miserable. I'm here again, worn out and ashamed. Day 2.
All the best for a good outcome with your surgery.

Alpine. Hang in there. Hoping surgery goes well.

I too am having a challenging day. Had a blowup with my adult son today at work. He is so unreasonable and thinks everyone who works for us always will do the right thing. When they don’t he loses it on them. Then they want to quit and I have to do damage control. He can’t see his behavior is the problem. He blames me for not appreciating all he does. Oh the joys of family business.
