End of Day 445 - Ran 7.7 kms in an hour. Amazing dinner and off to a good night's sleep. Good night from sleepy Seattle. Stay strong all.

Pledging for today. Day 124. Survived party boat day with 5 drinkers. Usually I would have been drinking the most. Best to all.

Good job, Runner. Party Boat--oh boy--I've not been on one of those in years, thankfully. I admire how well you are doing!

Wow, yeah forgiving myself. I just can’t right now. I’d love to. I’m not sleeping well. The news, the violence, my family mad at me, I feel sick and disgusted with myself. I did something crazy today. I’m sick of being miserable. I applied for a teaching job in Puerto Rico. The beach, the island, fresh start. Probably won’t get it but I know my husband and I will be happier with island living. I want to walk away and close this horrible chapter. I’ll just see what happens, if it’s fate it will happen. In for another sober weekend.

Runner, I’ve found being the only sober one at parties makes you the life of the party. You have memories of all the beautiful views, feel hydrated, most probably passed out and feel sick.

Thanks all for your kind words and support. It is deeply appreciated. All is well here in partyville. Am the sober one for a first time in a long long time.

Mags, my doctor referred me to an 'outside' allergist for an appt so will call them and make an appt as soon as possible. He prescribed a higher dose of the Atarax to stop the itching but when I went to get it, the lady said it wasn't approved by insurance and my doctor would have to call the insurance company to get prior authorization to cover it. I asked how much it was without insurance and she said $200! . I'll just have to wait til Monday to call my doctor. sigh... I am envious of those who have national health coverage.

Good Morning Weekenders

Hi ChopStickCheese good to see you

Tica, all the best on the teaching job.

Least, gosh that’s expensive medication. Did it help last time? Good idea to ring the allergist and make that appointment asap. They will find the root cause of the itching and advice accordingly.

Have a good ‘sober’ Saturday. Lots of love xxxx

It sounds like you had a very interesting, if at times trying, holiday RunnerF. Well done on keeping it sober.

I've finished all my chores for today. I've done the washing, vacuuming and shopping. I've just had my mid morning cup of tea and am now watching skiing on TV. It's football (soccer) later and maybe a walk this afternoon. It's much better when it's all done sober as it makes for a relaxing Saturday. Today is also 3 weeks of sobriety for me after my drinking over the Christmas / New Year period and then a week later after that. It's only just occured to me that my last drink was on Friday the 13th...
