À la Sao, of course!

Almost on New Years eve was an odd day to decide to quit, I wonder how it happened!
It was a GREAT move you did, that's for sure, on that day in 2014!
Bravo Sao!

Runner, sorry you don't have the support you are looking for. You will definitely get it from me here and I bet everyone else here too. You are your number one priority. You got this.

Free, happy to hear you had a good time.
No drinking for me, that is for sure. I am grateful Mr. A does not drink at all and he would be beyond upset if I did drink.

Ok, I'll jump on this bus!
Mags- thanks for this New Year -New Road thread,
I really enjoyed reading thru it.
TC- congrats on shotgun!
Runner and City- I wish you guys the best for domestic bliss in the coming year.
Least- I hope that nerve pain eases. My adult son has terrible shooting pains down right leg, I think he needs another back surgery this year

Phoenix- my sympathies on your brother, I lost my brother to a-ism this year.
I loved the dog pic. Dog and cat pics give me a boost. They're such sweet creatures God created to bring us love.

Onward to this weekends sobriety!

Congratulations to all who are celebrating sober milestones.

Best wishes and prayers to all who are struggling. I have been there. Use the examples here of success to know there is hope. One of the powerful things to discover is only you can decide not to drink or drug. That is both empowering and scary as we are in control but ultimately responsible for the consequences.

Pledging for today. Day 89.

I think I will be going for bedtime chic. I will be in bed by 9.

Someone is coming to look at a sofa I am selling today. Two other people have shown interest but then changed their minds before actually coming. We will see. I don't really like inviting strangers in, a few years ago I wouldn't of given it a a second thought but crime is rife now. Everything is a potential scam.

Hoping the rain stops so I can get out for a walk.

I hope all goes well with the people potentially buying your sofa. Have you got in your mind what your lowest offer you’ll take in case they try to knock you? Alfie and Daisy will guard you. x

I'm not really too worried if they knock me down, Mags. I just want it gone, I'm not sure why I ever bought it. It is too loud for me! Dogs will miss it though and may well guard that instead of me. I will replace with a grey one to match the dining room chairs.

Love the sofa Kaily, love the patchworky colourfulness of it . Of course it would be no good for me as the cats would rip it to pieces in no time.

I have to admit I quite like the sofa Kaily, but I can see why you'd want something a little less colourful :-)

I'm wondering what to do for New Year's Eve tonight. My family are up country so I'll be alone and I was so busy with Christmas I've failed to organise anything with friends. There are plenty of clubs and bars within a short walk but I'm too old for all that. Jools Holland's Hootenanny on the TV maybe? Perhaps I'll just cook something nice for myself and get an early night...

Happy New Year in advance to all Weekenders. Forwards.

I love the shape of the sofa. Mr. A and I are on a hunt for sofa/couches for our house. Lots of them seem very deep..So our feet wont touch the ground, way too soft, or have the drink holders in them.
Chancellor, hi there and Happy New Year
Runner, wooot wooot 89!!
Yesterday we spent over 6 hours raking at the house we closed on. The yard is not big, it's just that the previous owners did absolutely nothing. My hip was bugging me, luckily my shoulder behaved. I have a little more to do but that can wait.

ZB- my prayers to you.
Dog has taught me many things I had forgotten. To be humane, patient, quiet and have humility.

Kailey I like that patchwork sofa too!
I also have a kitty who would think her dad bought her a giant scratching post.
As it is she's done some redesigning of my leather couch which I have to keep covered.
Ahhh cats...can't live with 'em....can't live without 'em!

I had two of those sofa's so I must of liked them. I sold the other one a few years ago. I bought them because they are nice and compact for a small space. I never really know what I want, if the lady buys it today I will probably be posting that I wish I hadn't sold it . Nightmare, no wonder I'm single

Can you put a fitted cover over it? My MIL has a cover over it and it does not look too bad.
