Pledging for today. Day 88. Not feeling 100%. Slept until late. Feeling pressure from wife about not drinking. As we haven’t discussed it once in 88 days it is getting awkward.

Runnerf, it's been a very awkward subject of discussion with my wife as well. It seems that it would be viewed very enthusiastically considering what alcohol has brought to the table. She may have a couple of apple ciders once every three months, but I suppose it is just too uncomfortable of a subject for most people.

Well I got back to sleep and woke u at 9. I. have nothing to do today other than my phone appt with the shrink today at 1. Still feeling crummy and still having Jacks problem. . I called the nurse line last night and she said if Jack's problem isn't resolved today to go to urgent care.

I'd like to unpack a few of these boxes sitting around to see if I can find my warm coats.

Cityboy. Thanks for your input. Told her today on our walk. She was neither supportive nor visibly upset. The comment she did make was indicative of her missing her drinking buddy. She doesn’t have a drinking problem but she likes to include alcohol in all get togethers. Thus I think she will view this as a big damper on the party.

I just have to do this for me. Health and sobriety needs to be my priority.

Thanks again to all who have offered thoughts. They are all much appreciated.

Hi Gang,

Sober Christmas done. It was lovely! Thanks Mags for the thread. New Year is just around the corner which is special because that's when I made 'The Decision' four years ago, put in the work and quit drinking for good. How exciting that I'll be starting out on Year 5 of my recovery in less than 48 hours time!

In serious matters, I've just got my psych report letter from my consultant after seeing her a few weeks ago. She commended my progress, noting that I seemed 'happy' and made 'appropriate use of humor'. Things are going well at the moment and even if bumps in the road arise, as I guess are inevitable, I'll be ale to address them with my sober toolkit tried and tested and ready to go.

Least - I do hope your ailments ease a little, supportive thoughts to you RunnerF, take care Reid, thanks for the link Purps, hi Kaily, hello Venus, best to all others here.

Warm wishes to all. Forwards.
