I wish people would stop buying gross meat. Why do people think it's worth risking disease and dying for stupid hunks of gross meat. I'm also afraid to put air in my tires because they surely ran over a carcass or two and must be covered in disease.

LOL, TH!!! This made me actually spit my tea out on the computer!

Meat IS gross, when I think about it for any period of time. And tires are DEFINITELY gross. Microbes are omnipresent, so we are almost always, completely surrounded. Yet, miraculously, we have evolved to resist most of the disease associated with the little guys. Wash your hands and you'll be ok!

I was a vegetarian for 2 years after I had to complete a human cadaver anatomy lab. Maybe this job will inspire some dietary changes for you?

I am considering moving. Either the southwest or Mid Atlantic area. Minnesota is horrible and I hate it and I've always hated it. I'm to the point where I want to form a punk band dedicated towards hating Minnesota. It's been ten days since I've posted. I fell all the way to the bottom of the second page.

You could call the band "Fall to the Bottom of 10,000 Lakes"???

Texas and New Mexico have some lovely areas with very affordable cost of living. I'd have trouble in the bitter cold of Minnesota.

I'm considering New Mexico. I hear it's dangerous though.

Because of weather and busyness and annoying commercials and stress.

Christmas is only fun as a kid. Since you had no money the only time you got stuff you wanted was on Christmas. Now if I want something I'll go buy it myself whenever the hell I want. There are a lot of things I dislike that most people like such as: holidays, dogs, Queen, Guns N Roses, steak, Game of Thrones, FPS video games.

What are some things you DO like?

Helps to focus on those when we feel down.

I have to say I'm enjoying this thread. All I'm gonna get for Christmas is a bunch of junk I won't need that I'll have to take home with me.

There's a blizzard and work won't let me stay home. I called them and voiced my concern and they just bitched and told me they need me to come in. Is that irresponsible of them? Of me? I'm about ready to just say FU and quit. I'll wait until after the Super Bowl to pick up another job. I have a problem. I prioritize watching games over work. It's not illegal to not give notice right?

I know all of this is far from "the AA spiritually righteous way". I just can't bring myself to do that crap even though I don't drink anymore. I guess I'm just a miserable dry drunk. Recovery snobs can thumb their nose at me (I'm not saying any of you are, in fact people on here aren't. There just are a lot out there though).

Christmas day will be 6 months exactly. Maybe it should only count as 3 months because I've done so bad. The coins get upgraded from painted plastic to actual metal once you reach 6 months.

I think you should take the credit - then think about 2023 and the things you'd like to change in your life?

6 months is wonderful, Thrill. I know you're unhappy much of the time - as Dee said, think about what could be done to improve things.

We'll see what happens when the offseason starts. I might move, I might get a job, I might die, I might go to the streets, IDK. I probably don't have another offseason in me.
