I start the new job on Tuesday. For some reason I'm afraid to tell people I switched jobs.

Good luck! No need to tell anyone your business if it stresses you. Work for awhile and maybe it comes up casually and you don’t need to justify or explain—just that you changed jobs and (hopefully) are very happy in your new one!

I just got back from the first day. It was ok but I'm still afraid I'll get food poisoning touching the raw meat (even though it's packaged).

Is it normal to be afraid of touching raw meat that is covered in cellophane or is that neurotic? How can the salmonella not permeate a thin layer of cellophane. I want to just make my line Vegetarians and Vegans only, not because I'm against eating meat, but because I'll avoid all that gross salmonella crap.

I was definitely against AA for a long time but got tired of doing things alone and without guidance.
Once I realized they had no agenda except to maintain sobriety I was much more comfortable.

It's been 4 months now and if I get through the holidays sober I'll get through anything.
