I hope everyone is enjoying their sober weekend. Today is Day 50 for me and I feel really good. It's a holiday weekend here in Ontario tomorrow so it's a long weekend for me which makes this extra special.

Congratulations on day 50 Chancellor

We used to have Yorkshire’s with gravy before the main meal when I was a kid.
Suze, yes! Some have them as a dessert with jam on them.

Saou, I’ll write an op with sunshine and blue skies next time.

I love the picture of your Great Grandmother, Sao. What a lovely thing to have.

I went on a very long walk yesterday, the last half an hour was extremely wet but the rest was great. Out again today, wet again but shorter so not soaked.

All the talk of Yorkshire puddings made me hungry. No roast here, but a nice cheese omelette and chips.

Another weekend in the books. Hoping there won't be too many more working weekends here for a while, but it's probably not a realistic expectation.

Hoping no one picked up.

Robbie, hope you didn't loose any more money on football. We have friends that gamble a lot, but at least they get special deals on casino cruises.

I've never had Yorkshire pudding but I'm sure my dad has cause his second (current) wife is British and cooks a lot of British foods.

Congrats on 50 days Chancellor!

Congrats on what must be 100 days now calmself.

I'm having nice lazy Sunday evening. Billie is sleeping, all covered with her blankie, and I'm just reading and surfing the net.

I finished the book The Daily Stoic, and then read The Obstacle is the Way, by the same author, Ryan Holiday. Then read Never Cry Wolf, by Farley Mowat. Now am reading Pete Buttigieg's book, Trust. I had forgotten how much I like to read.

Hiya Weekenders, another sober weekend under our belt!

It’s blowing a gale here. Not as bad as Storm Eunice though. It’s nameless so can’t be as bad I don’t think.

Yeah, I don't think they name the little piddly storms, just the huge ones, so you're probably alright. I think Hev was talking about a big snow storm coming her way end of the week. I hope it misses us...

Another late night for me and Billie. I've got to take her out shortly for her bedtime potty.

At least it's not raining or snowing right now.

Hi PJ!

Take care with your footing in the snow/sleet, least.

Thanks, Least! You are spot on.

End of Day 99 for me. Ran 4 miles in 45 minutes, had a great dinner with coconut water. Will be off to bed soon.

Good night from Seattle!

Mags, it's not snowing or sleeting here right now. Hev's storm is predicted to come Thursday night. I just looked at the weather channel and it's calling for snow this Thursday and Friday, but not too much. Thursday's prediction said "watching a winter storm develop", so don't know if we'll get a storm or just a bit of snow.

Congrats on your sober time Calmself.

The winds are 69km’s (42.87 miles) here. Too windy for a kite

That's pretty high winds there! Are your outside things fastened down?

Mags, the storm finally got a name, it's Storm Franklin. In itself it might not have been bad enough to cause chaos but as it is coming after two other, more destructive, storms within the past 6 days it is adding more heavy rain to areas that are already flooded and causing further wind damage to areas which have already suffered damage from high winds. This storm is hitting the west more than the east of the UK but the east coast is still being hit by very strong winds https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-60452334

calmself, congratulations on 99 days. It's now day 100 for you, and in to triple figures. Great going!
