You're invited to my virtual Christmas!
I will be home by myself on Christmas Day, so I'm inviting anyone who wants to join to come and bring some virtual food/fun/conversation! Let's enjoy a day of camaraderie and cheer here on SR! I'll be on this thread throughout the day and I can't wait to see who drops in! I'll be serving hot gorgonzola puffs and bacon-wrapped dates to start... More to come!

Alpine, sometimes I put woven bacon on top of Turkey to roast. It’s awesome.
BTW, no one should volunteer to be my trivia partner.
Without a TV most of my life, movies, shows, and news events are unknown to me……just sayin’😉🤓

I don’t quite know how this has happened, but I’ll be on my own too. My wife’s out the country, and I don’t want the stress of travelling in these crazy times. I have a brother who’s a bigger alcoholic than I ever was. If I go to his town, I’d have to stay in a hotel (no thanks), and he won’t come to me. Another brother is way nicer, but he’s doing something else that day. I do actually have friends, but they do the family stuff. I probably could gatecrash, but I’m not that fussed.
As I never watch TV now, I could binge watch a mini series. All feels a bit weird. I probably should’ve volunteered to do something useful ☹️

This is a great idea! I will be spending the day solo (with kitties) and really appreciate the thoughtfulness of this invitation. I will make an appearance and share food pics, although I haven't decided yet what to cook except for mulled apple cider....YUM!
