Well done PJ . Good going, though as it's 3.35am you must be feeling exhaused? Hopefully you will get a few hours sleep.

My lower back is 'going against the grain' this weekend. My ride never showed up yesterday so couldn't get to my doctor's appt. Made another one for next Tuesday and hope I have a ride.

About 10 yrs ago I had the same sort of excruciating lower back pain and saw a pain specialist. He did surgery, gave me a shot (steroid?) in between two discs in my lower back and it got rid of the pain. I hope my doctor refers me to him again. I am miserable.

But at least I'm miserable and sober!

Congratulations on 1000 days Forwards! Well done sir!

Well done on your essay PhoenixJ!

Went as far north as you can go - John O'Groat's, Dunnet Head and Cape Wrath. Majestic scenery. The weather was uncharacteristically well behaved too.

Slightly anxious about the 600 mile drive home tomorrow with all the petrol stations closed. Hey ho.

I watched Sky News just now, and I am shocked! Petrol shortage, 100 000 lorry drivers needed, nobody knowing what this winter may bring... I have no words. What a terrible situation!

In my country everyone is having a party. Five hours ago, almost every corona rule was lifted, and people could go out, hug, and dance. We're almost back in 2019!

least, sorry to read that you are in pain

Sao, John O'Groats looks a much better place than it's southern opposite, Lands End, in Cornwall which I found a bit disappointing when I went there back in 1995. Lovely rugged scenery but it's an expensive rip-off whereas I believe John o'Groats is free to visit.

Lixie, I'm glad to read that nearly every coronavirus rule has been lifted in your country. Fingers crossed they aren't reintroduced again!

Hi all I am late to the game but I am in for another sober weekend. Mags thanks for the Intro it really resonated with me. Especially the letting go of the negativity.

Aly so sorry about your sisters. Least I hope you feel better soon! Congrats Forwards on 1000 days. PJ on your project well done. I hope everyone does something wholesome for yourself like Mags post says.

I am going down memory lane in the mountains at my MIL's old house. Quick trip to get a few things my husband inherited. Here are a few picks of the hike and view from the deck.

(((least)) . Prayers that your pain subsides or that your doctor can do something to relieve it quickly.

Wishing you safe, problem-free and efficient travels, Sao.

Lovely photos, CBS.

Least, same from me, I hope you’re soon pain free. Rest your back, no pulling trees up.

CBS beautiful scenery, love it.

Saou, lovely you got to John O’Groats. I’m hope there’ll be some petrol stations open on your journey. Have a good ride home. Hope it’s blown away a few cobwebs.

Sao,I think you need to buy an electric car to get home! or a push bike . I wish you a safe and hassle free journey.

Stunning views, CBS. I would love to wake up to those everyday.

Forwards, congratulations. You are very inspiring. Loved your 1000 day thread.

Bim, did you get to the Zoo??

I think it must be flying daddy long leg season, I can see at least 5 in my living room and that doesn't include the one Alfie just ate.

Fair enough but I wish they would do it somewhere else.

A happy sober Sunday morning to all

CBS, wonderful pictures. The expansiveness of the scenery in the first photo is wonderful.

Kaily, as Mags has posted, it's daddy long legs mating season. Unfortunately they like to come indoors to do what they do so they are a bit of a nuisance at the moment.

sao, I guess you're on the road now, heading back south. Have fun!

Willow, good to hear you had a nice weekend.

Take care everyone.

Have a lovely evening Willow! It's only just gone 10am on Sunday morning here. I'm heading out soon for a nice walk and later for a family Sunday lunch. I'm looking forward to it.

Enjoy your walk and family lunch Robbie, that sounds a lovely day
I’m off to bed, it will be great to not be feeling sick and tired for work in the morning like I used to feel after weekends drinking! I’m so glad I don’t do that anymore

goodnight everyone.
