Baby Steps - Weekenders 27 - 30 December 2019
Happy new year everyone! I stayed up to see 2020 in, was in bed at 12:01 tho, listening to fireworks. I have to get myself ready for work bright an early tomorrow. Sorta looking forward to getting back to routine if only to get my eating back on schedule. Like a lot of people, I ate too much this holiday season and snacked my way thru most waking hours. My intestines are not pleased with me and I can feel the extra pounds I'm carrying. Back to the intermittent fasting for me. I'm gonna miss sleeping in.....
Beautiful post here folks:

HNY to all. 2020 seems like being a good year for clear-sightedness (I see Sao has beaten me to the worst of the puns ).
good to see you Snufs, so pleased for you on reaching a year sober.
I have a bunch of things I want to do this year, not really resolutions, & not really related to alcohol, but none of which will be possible without the foundation of staying happily sober.

Happy New Year, weekenders!
May it be bright and bring lots of great experiences.
Congrats to everyone who celebrates so milestones too.
Time flies.
It's been six months since I started my new job. Overall it's fine - some episodes of drama here and there, but not much. I mostly like it, and when my probationary period ended my boss that that they are happy to have me, which was sure pleasant to hear.
I resumed my boxing workouts a couple of months ago, and last weekend (I think I can consider it a NY gift for myself) bought a year gym membership again.
Apart from this, I am taking care of my usual routine - debts, health, etc.
Honestly, what is mostly freaking me out is that I got stuck emotionally in "nowhere land" place and barely feel life. And what is also disturbing me that I am having hard time to shake off the aftermath of my break up.
It's been - how long - seven month already, and still I mentally revisit this every day.
I even, as part of "New Year, New life" routine googled "How to recover from a breakup without closure". So, following some advice being part of let go and create new memories process, yesterday on my way from work I dropped in the coffee shop we used to frequent together and I have really good memories connected too and tried to go through some "let go ritual".
I don't know yet whether it helped or not.
And I still have no idea where to start with my apartment repairs.
So, that's about all in a nutshell.
Great to see you all)

Manta did you find Max kitten?
Bim I wish I wasn’t interested in sweets anymore, that would be so much healthier!
Mesa that’s a really gorgeous photo.
Dragon I hear you re snacking all day and the extra pounds. I’ve signed up for a bootcamp style exercise program to kickstart me back into a healthy eating and exercise lifestyle.... I think they’re very popular in January. Not sure about the rest of the year lol.
MB a gym membership is a great NY gift to yourself! What a good start to the year. I think it can take a long time to get over any sort of loss, relationship breakups, loss of family or pets, and any kind of loss causes grief I think. Revisiting places seems like a good way to create new memories, although I think it could be quite challenging at times.
I’m feeling a bit anxious and a bit down this morning, but hopefully some fresh air and a walk will pick up my spirits. I think it’s just the aftermath of the festive season combined with missing my Mum that’s got me down. I’m having my morning coffee, and then going out for a walk so hopefully getting outside in nature will remind me of the good things. I usually feel more grounded when I’ve been outdoors.

Good to see you Willow!
Congratulations once again on a year Snufkin, I'm glad things are better for you.
You too MidnightBlue, well done getting taken on after the probation period.
Excellent photo MesaMan.
My only New Year's resolution is that I am no longer going to ask rhetorical questions. What's the point?
