around the forums. Hope she's well. I miss so many of the past posters.
It is only 5:30ish AM on the 31st here, still hours to go. I remember when I drank Dec 31st was often a time I said, "Good riddance," to the previous year but I am nothing but grateful these days. SO MUCH different.

Hello Bim & the Weekenders! I'm doing good, mostly lurking these days.
I'm going to be one year sober tomorrow. Couldn't be happier!
I don't have anything planned for today, just staying home and watching movies with my bf. Altho we probably should have gone somewhere for a day as Warsaw's annual New Year’s Eve event is being held at the Banking Square where we live, so it's gonna be really loud all night.
I hope everyone is going well on their journeys.

Thank you so much Bim! Yeah I moved back to Poland in September last year I think. So far it's been good, I have a steady job, supportive boyfriend and an awesome cat. My goal for next year is to find a job in my field (creative industries) as I think I'm ready for it.
Here's a pic of New Year’s Eve at the Banking Square last year. Way too many people + bad music, but we will probably have a little walk over there later in the evening.

I too will be tucked up in bed by 9 tonight if not earlier. Just back from the supermarket where the world and his wife seemed to be buying booze! It still gets to me, tempts me.

Thank you weekenders for all the congratulations - I'm now 1 year and 1 hour free of alcohol!

Happy new years to everyone.. I bought it in sober last night, even went to a bbq where myself and my 8 Yr old step son were the only ones not drinking alcohol, it wasn't even that hard to do, sometimes I think we make it harder than we realise as we put so much attention on it.. Although I guess at other times we don't put enough attention and like myself end up in a blip..
