Happy Christmas Weekenders.

Having a lovely sober time here. We watched Carols from Kings College Cambridge on the box yesterday and for the first time in years I was able to appreciate it. Today we have WhatsApped and Skyped friends and family all over the world. The turkey is in the oven and we are looking forward to a lovely family meal. The AV is well under control so far though I felt it slightly last night to no effect.

Thank you all for being here. Warm wishes as always. Forwards.

Glad now I went plodding this morning...
Today's deserts were a killer.
Hope everyone is getting through the day soberly.

Mrs vman's amuse bouche / apetisers were pretty cool. Carrot, two black olives and a ball of goat cheese...

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!

I don't get here often anymore but wanted to send joyous wishes to all who are new to sobriety. It truly is a gift unlike any other. Hold on tight to it.

And all the best to the "veterans," too.

Evening Weekenders, or should I say good morning since it is past midnight. My 62 year old brother in law says he is going to quit booze (he's a normie) in the new year in order to train for a long distance cycling event called the Dunwich Dynamo. It's not a race exactly but it is about 120 miles. It starts near me (in July) so I will see him off.

All the best and remember there is not one person for whom Christmas can not be damaged by excessive alcohol consumption.

Long and busy day, hosted dinner for my side of the family (Issues with Mrs D's side this year, grateful for the smaller gathering of non-drinkers). Wishing everyone the best.
And.... g'night!

Morning all.

Spent so much time planning and fussing about yesterday (hosted xmas dinner for the inlaws) that seemed to have a total blank on plans for today...

Lets see... A long long walk sounds good.

Time for you too to get on your bike Sao ?

Morning Weekenders

Vinny, love your desserts.

Saou, my cousin is a normie drinker and he stopped a couple of years ago, health reasons, but he’s so glad he did.

Snoozy and all our Aussie friends, keep cool tomorrow.

New thread coming up.
