Morning chums.
Am I the first European weekender this morning?
Getting up at 06h on a Saturday when I don't have work is ok when alcohol is out of the equation...
Anyways take care of yourself Mariposa and keep posting we will be here
Bye

Vinny, early mornings are great, especially hangover free.

Saou the water is so still. Lovely blue skies, we’ve still got a cloud covering yet.

Happy Caturday!

it's a glorious day here, so it's good to be up early(ish) with a clear head to be able to make the most of it.

I was really restless & jittery last night after kind of a frsutrating week - I hadn't been like that for a looong time. drinking didn't even cross my mind, but just a little mental note to self to watch myself.

mariposa - good to see you, hope you're doing okay.

Good morning weekenders - my third full weekend with SR coming up! Really feel for you Mariposa but this could yet be the weekend when everything changes for the better for you. That's my hope for you.

Andyh, my friend, I have to give myself a talking-to on the regular and check my thinking. I may have quit drinking but I followed myself into my new sober life and now there are so many more hours to be me. I hope your well deserved weekend is a good one.

Kaily, is your house your own again?

Those apartments on the canal will have some drama when their decks need work, sao.

Still no scaffolding outside my window...it seems they're really gone.

Glorious moring here also, up at 7:10am was already out back in my house coat checking the weather. We are having a strum out at the park tomorrow by a duck pond. What fun!

Plans today are to modify and hang an old over the toilet cabinet, over the toilet.

Wow, loving seeing all the familiar faces! Just poking in on a busy weekend to share I am now over 3 years sober and also over 1 1/2 years nicotine free.

This board is a monumental part of my sobriety and these days it's a lot of service work that keeps me out of my own head and on the right path.

Odd to discover if you asked me 4 years ago what I liked and who I was you'd receive an entirely different answer than you would now. That and I've never been happier with my life.

Good to see all you fine folk, this can be done!

Hi, weekenders.

My first weekend after starting the new job. Though weekend is relative since my first paycheck is not until 3 weeks from now, and I have to do online gigs within the weekend to get me through the following week.

Have some medical test nest week I am kind of freaking out about too.

A little bit tired of being a warrior, wouldn't mind having a moment to catch a breath.

Have a good weekend, everyone.

See you.

Dragon, your day sounds excellent!

MB, is this the job that you had to wait months for the vetting process?

You are a warrior. We all are. The rewards are worth it, I think.

Hi, Bim.

Yes, this is that job.

The upside so far that commute doesn't take much time, and it's a stable paycheck. after all.

Oh, that's great, Midnight. At least there will soon be calm and order in your life again. I think you've done great at piecing together income to stay afloat.

Nice to have you back with us MB
Poke in whenever you like ladyblue

Be honest Bim do you miss the scaffolding a little bit... .....?

It's too hot for me at the moment in sw france and basically impossible to do anything physical outside without sweating buckets...

Little update on the bike. Picked her up on thursday evening and went to work on it yepsterday. Andy time to come clean it's a 125 Hyosung Aquila GV 125 custom, almost new, 3500kms on the clock. . It's a 15bhp Vtwin. Korean. It's got pretty good reviews and I have to say I'm happy with the handling and 110km/h is enough for me.

Maybe one day I will pass the full bike license...

Later weekenders

Vman, I'm very glad you won't be drinking and then getting on that bike.

...trust me when I say I think it's an adjustment I can live with. I actually saw the Great Blue Heron catch breakfast this morning for the first time in seven months.

Yes home alone now Bim ~ apart from two little doggies of course.

Think the last few weeks have finally caught up with me. I feel absolutely one hundred percent shattered.

Hope everyone is having a good Saturday.

Kaily. Adrenaline let-down.

I recommend Rocky Road ice cream. The big container. Well, actually I'd prefer Butter Pecan, but it seems most people like chocolate.

Yes, I still self-medicate with food. Just not often. This would be an entirely appropriate time, in my opinion.
