Meta I am truly sorry about your troubles. I think going to be with your dad is a great idea. Please put down the drink. I am only on day two and know how hard it will be. Nothing will work till you have that goal set in your mind. I am not doubting that your troubles are driving you to drink. You don’t want to lose your kids due to mental instability with drinking thrown in. I have been down that path with child services department involved with me as well. My ex husband did pay $100000 for his lawyer. Don’t let your ex husband have power over your feelings. That’s what I did wrong. Can you afford urine testing to prove you aren’t drinking.?sending you love and prayers.

I am ok, getting through day 2. I am locked in my house or that of my ex boyfriend 24/7 so no change of getting alcohol.

I am completely overwhelmed by all the things I have to take care of before I can leave but am working through them step by step.

Mera, I have followed a part of your journey and funny how you often pop up in my thoughts, day to day.

I have always been in awe - how you have pulled out all the stops to get better - and now again , going to America to try again.

I wanted to chime in after your opening post, and say that I think you need to be with family. So there you go. That's what you are going to do, and I think it is exactly what you need. No doubt it won't all be moonshine and roses, but I think it is going to benefit you so so much.

I've been following your post and have been taking inspiration and comfort that I'm not the only one out there who is facing overwhelming circumstances right now. Today I'm kind of going on auto pilot and just doing the things I know have to get done. One thing at a time, with lots of sugar breaks in between.
Good for you on making some really hard choices, just keep following them through! We can do this.
