Dee,
I'm so very sorry for the loss of your friend Joe. I know the pain (of those we love) that are taken by this disease. Very real & painful. I thank my HP that I AM able to feel. Or for the grace of god , go I. RIP Joe.

It helped me to know people care and I hope you know that I do Dee. ❤️
Hugs & My Prayers,
Bobbi

Sorry Dee.
48 years old. It's just an amazing story and absolutely reinforces what SR is all about. It's not an exaggeration to say that sobriety is nothing less than a choice between life or early death.

Billy Joel got a lot of things right, and in my life, it has included that only the good die young.

Joe sounds like he was a light in your life and those of others who knew him.

Tragic that he is gone too soon, but a blessing that he was a part of your life.

Sorry for the platitudes, but it is what gets me through the day when these things happen to me.

I hope you know that you are a light in our lives.

Sorry for your pain, and thank you for all that you do.

XX

Very sorry to hear this for you, Dee.

Addiction is a dichotomy of miracles (recovery) on the one hand and tragedies (jails, institutions and death) on the other.

Not much in the middle.

Unfortunately, the horizon of this world is littered with the bodies of those who never successfully got clean and sober.

Each of them is an individual tragedy.

We all love you.

Really sorry to hear this, Dee. He was way too young.
