On the first train now, it’s 7am and was up at 5am!! Got some porridge and banana in a thermos flask for my breakfast and juiced some beetroot/carrots/ginger/orange for some energy! Feeling a bit nervous and sick, talking my mind down from thinking I will miss my next train or will be late or will loose my bags and other random catastrophes lol. Some people are very grumpy on my current train and getting dirty looks but I am smiling and breathing xx

How exciting, Manta! I know it's going to feel weird - new jobs are like having six thumbs, but you'll get through.

We're with you in spirit! Definitely breathe...I forget that when I'm excited.

I hope your day went well MantaLady.

It seems like everyone had a great time at the firm's Christmas party, they carried on for hours after I left (that's probably when they started to enjoy themselves) - there doesn't seem to have been any disasters or recriminations for once.

Hi, weekenders.

Sao - Great to see you back!

Manta - Get them.

Vinny - You'd better check in or I will write a poem about how much we miss you.

I crawled into my shell and refuse to come into the contact with the world.

I skipped gym 3 days in a row.

Sometimes I feel this urge to question whatever I am doing in almost automatic mode and detach myself from everything I feel too attached to.
It is like taking every behavior and habit off myself and asking "Who am I?".

I still feel lost and manipulated by life. On a regular basis I need a vacuum. It comes with a downside, of course.

I need to wake myself up into living, and I don't know how.

Came across a beautiful song on the topic.

Have a great day/night, everyone.

My widdle Sober Brain is always flowing along; just taking it all in. So, while making Split Pea Soup a while ago in the Sun blasting in the ~4' x ~7' South-facing Kitchen Window, it sounded like fun to get a decent Pic of some Petrified Wood bought recently at a Museum in Lone Pine CA. It's about 2" tall.

The Soup is smelling pretty fab. Some local Earth Muffins opened a neat lil Store in a long-closed Gas Station, and they sell fresh Bread. MesaMate bought this Artisan Loaf that's dense enough to use as a Projectile in a Trebuchet. Tasty stuff. So, I'll make a few Slices into my legendary Garlic Bread, which is strong enough to repel Vampires at 100 paces. Good sustenance to get us through the 12 F [-11 C] Degrees predicted for tonight. Mild warming thereafter this Week...

This Singer ~ Songwriter provides us some sage advice...

For a second there, I thought that was a picture of the earth-muffin bread.

I don’t know either Petals. I can’t figure out how to get back to the desktop version. I only use my phone and it doesn’t have the options others have suggested. So I just click the middle dark coloured speech bubble and write, and then click submit reply. I can’t thank anyone for their posts anymore. I used to thank people all the time but now I just have to content myself with scrolling through. So everyone, THANKS for all your posts, I really do appreciate them

oh and the pencil is for editing posts (on my phone anyway)

This is the view on my (Android) phone - to get the desktop version I hit the three little dots at the top right hand side and select desk top.

Mesa-m, don't you lucky people have vampire bats out that way?
RATS! Any place humans live- they follow. I have reported my sighting of one to the unit management- they said would look into it. Saw another one- walking at a casual pace alone my rear fence, during daylight. The pest control guy casme to inspect- so he can then make recommendations in a report to the unit management (community housing, not for prophit). This report will then be tabled as new business at a management people meeting, which then will be tabled for recommended action. The cost of exterminating the rats will then be sourced- and tabled at the meeting after the next meeting. Once approved- the management will delegate this action to a staff member, who will then send a formal direction to the pest control guy (the same one who was here today). It is Xmas in 3w. Meetings are often delayed over this time. So all up- I guestimate this will be seen to..hmm, third day of summer- by the second week of winter.
The guy said that rats walking about in the day light means big numbers. Over my rear fence is a Nursing home...maybe from their food waste containers.

I am gonna buy rat poison today.
