Hey MB, Snuf, Lily and Andy

Happy holiday to the american people

France Uruguay is on Friday at 16h00 in the afternoon.
Yesterday somebody tried to fix a meeting from 16h00 to 18h00 on friday afternoon and of all the invitees not one accepted

Afterwards everyone in the dept blocked their agendas on friday afternoon with phoney meetings

We cant complain really can we.

Vinny, it should be day off - I don't think most of male population in France and Uruguay will be of any use anyway.

In 10 days I am going on another round of my "business trip".

I think I've just failed my 30 days no complaining challenge because I am complaining and not offering any solution.

I am going into full self-sabotage mode already.

It reminds me of my lame attempt to run away from home when I was 18. Looking back I regret I didn't do it. Because now I realize I was in "no reasoning out" situation.

I made a call home and my jerk brother lied to me that my mother was in a hospital with a heart attack to get me back home.

It was her favorite tactic to manipulate me into anything - that she was about to have a heart attack.

To be honest I was a homish girl and was scared to go into nowhere.

My instincts new better, false reasoning failed me.

I have to run now. I am scared again.

MBlue...STOP.

You're talking yourself in to a fail.

Stop it. Go workout. Hit the body bag.

Oh I never play fair VMan. That's probably how I could always justify my drinking in the past. I would cheat myself.

I hope all you American folks have a good (and sober) day today. It seems odd having a public holiday on a Wednesday. If it were on a Tuesday or a Thursday then you could make a long weekend out of it but that is not easy on a Wednesday is it? Maybe that's a good thing for abstainers.

I say Sao got shotgun fair and square.

MB, where are you going this time? Travel, paid for by someone else? I'm in!

Do you want to be self-employed and/or write for a living? I thought that was what you said recently.

It's actually nice weather here which rarely happens on the 4th. My little town has a community parade today, I'll probably walk up there and mingle with the families and firemen. Then they do a re-enactment of a Brits/upstarts gun battle, with horses and costumes and the whole bit. Spoiler, red coats make it easy to pick off the invaders.

Independence Day is my favorite holiday except for the blowing-things-up part. They outlawed fireworks in my city, but the local big-box mega-church sells them right up the street. Something is wrong with this picture.

I may buy some baby back ribs (already cooked of course) and corn on the cob. Maybe. I do have a full refrigerator and don't need it.

Have a good sober day everyone.
