Beautiful weather for mid-summers day here in South West France. It's been raining off and on for weeks so lots of weeding and mowing this weekend. France playing today in the world cup. Good luck to them and to all you folks here.

Sorry your experiencing bad dreams snufkin, walking helps me sleep, something to do with endorphins.

Venuscat...That is WONDERFUL! I hope you continue to enjoy your studies. Need a practice subject, I could use some some coaching. If you cover how to keep your mentees from slumping, feel free to PM me and push me along!

Snuf I HATE SLEEP TROUBLES. I find myself surfing the web about insomnia, reading the same advice. I usually lie on the floor, do some deep stretching and breathing until my heart rate feels like it has slowed and then try again. Advice for today is DO NOT NAP when you get home from work. If you can't fight the nap, set the alarm for 20 minutes. Hugs to you, nightmares are horrible.

World Cup is so exciting! Looking forward to the weekend so I can watch it with my hubby. It is way more fun when he is with me. He is a loud, enthusiastic fan and makes each game sound like a final match. ONE more coffee, breakfast shake and then I am going to take a morning walk before it gets too hot.

LOVED ALI's Wedding too. Put it on your Netflix watch list.

My heart is still pounding and I woke up covered in sweat. It’s late, I have to get up, have a shower and go to work...
Hope the dreamscape has left you now love....how awful. ♥♥

Does slumping mean the same here as it does in Aus? Actually my mum was a Scot and don't slump meant sit up straight.....

Slump does refer to posture here, too; but it can also be a slang noun: it is a prolonged period of doing poorly, as in “That sports team is really in a slump.”

Welcome to the weekender Bonnefond87.
I am also in the south west of France. Good luck with the weeds !

Dragon, I think I share your thought of being mentally ready to retire

The rolling stones concert is on next tuesday evening.
I have started listening to them again in the car for the last few days and I just have to say its fab. Eternal music !

Mick jumping around the stage like he is 20

I forget how INTERNATIONAL we are Venuscat! By slumping I mean ...ha ha...almost used another slang there. As an English as a Second Language teacher I should be a bit better at not using confusing expressions! I mean getting lazy and not performing at my potential. Skipping workouts, lazing around the house, and not working towards any goals. I think getting lazy leads to drinking because we get BORED. It is easy to entertain ourselves with booze but leads us to bad places. But working towards our goals is not always easy, stops boredom and leads to the good stuff. I need to avoid the SLUMP, that said I am finishing this shake and out the door.

Thank-you for the welcome. I'm quite reserved and reluctant to join in things but this thread really appealed to me. Loving the world cup, great to see the less fancied teams doing well.

LIZAJANE!

PLEASE post that video about the World Cup that you posted on the Recovery Follies thread!

I would have posted it myself, but you deserve full credit!

Well done to willow and calmself. Keep notching up those days. Snufkin it might be a blessing in disguise work this weekend. And I wanted to say again well done on passing all your uni exams and projects.

I didn't know you fish Leigh.

My manager and his manager want to meet with me today to discuss my departure from their dept. I think I dropped a little bomb on them. But it was deserved believe me. I work with one of the biggest telcos in Europe, very corporate like, politics and strategy

Edit; time for more coffee.
I don’t go very often but really enjoy it! Crabbing is really my thing!

(((Snufkin))) Be good to yourself today.

Perhaps your dream state was trying to resolve something your mind has been unable to resolve in your conscious state.

Talking to a professional about your dreams could help.

Stay close.

We love you.

My late Aunt Betty was a really good crabber. She used to catch them with rotten chicken necks!

If they were bigger than a beer can, she’d keep them—otherwise she threw them back in!

Greetings, all.

Purps, that giraffe is so cute!

Welcome, Bonneford; so glad you joined us. I love the south of France and the weather was gorgeous when I was there in early Autumn.

Vinny, I hope that your meeting went well.

Busy day. Pompano for dinner tonight!

Have a wonderful day, all.
