Chicken necks are perfect for crabbing. We often used to use a small motor boat with crab trawler lines, especially when we had a huge crowd for crabs. We would lay the line, wait a while, and then carefully haul in dozens upon dozens.

Ha-ha, Lizajane, it is so me, and I am a female!

But I sacrificed France vs Peru for my boxing workout today.

To be honest I can watch replay later)

My new trainer busted be all over today to make me feel what real boxing is.

It feels....tough.

Now I can fully enjoy my Argentina vs Croatia

Hello all, Day 6 today. Busy day as usual and tomorrow is Friday!!! I need to have a proper plan to keep AV at bay. Congrats on those who achieved milestones!

The AV hasn’t gone away but it’s definitely getting easier to ignore because I know it will go away. Waking up sober each morning is the absolute best reward for ignoring the AV 😊
Well done Willow!!!! 39 days wow. Definitely an inspiration. Wish I could directly get to that number. I am into Day 6 !!

Welcome bonnefond!

Hello calmself, sounds like you are doing better.

Hi Vman, cool you and Bonne are from France. Raining here AGAIN in northern Illinois. Like we need more. Not...

Good to see you willow, you are racking up those days and getting more sober muscle everyday! Woot!!

Venuscat, SoberLeigh, Gilmer, Dee, STD, you people are the best with insight and support to everyone. I lurk a lot, don’t always say much.

Great to read your posts purps, petals , andyh and lizajane!

Snuf—sleep can be so disruptive. I have PTSD and suffer severe insomnia. The suggestion to meditate is good, although I don’t practice it myself I might try it too. For me I try to get out and exercise . What do you do for a living that people called and you have to work all weekend?

Love to all and forgive if I left your WE name off🧚🏻*♂️

Best,

Free

Argentina look vulnerable in defence

This is my first fully sober World Cup since 1978.

In 1986 I had tickets to a music festival in a place called Milton Keynes. The Ramones and the Simple Minds were among the line up but I blanked it to watch the infamous England Argentina game. We lost.

I remember standing in the rain at Glastonbury in 1998 with mud almost up to my knees, watching another infamous England-Argentina game

Thanks for the kind words, Free!

You should post more often (and not just because you gave me a compliment. )

Hello all, happy Saturday,, well mine anyway. work week is over and 3 days off in front of me. Husband is gone for the next 2 weeks, so I will be hanging close by. Need to go grocery shopping, trying to decide if I wanted to stay on the healthy train or the crash the trash bus Way to many options out there, especially the cereal aisle, lucky charms or frosted flakes,,,,, or both,,,,,life is hard when options are endless,,,,

We had another notorious one in 1966 but even I am not old enough to remember that one.

It will be difficult for Argentina to progess from their group now.

I have never been near the world cup but I remember them all the way back to high school . Growing up in Toronto, World Cup was a time when every car seemed to have a flag flying from countries of origin. My family always cheering for Germany. Attending a Roman Catholic school full of Italians made for some fun rivalry and trash talk.

Argentina! What happened???? Something is going on with that team. Happy for my friend Silvia, who happens to be vacationing in Croatia (her homeland) right now. She has got to be in the biggest celebration with her family right now. She was source of that video I posted. Got my workout in early...down time watching the games now Housework BORING but must be done. This place is looking a little shabby. Rather be dancing in Croatia!

Gilmer---- I got both

I can tell by this thread that I should be watching soccer, which I never have,,, so since I am clueless in who is who, anyone special I should root for?? or boo unconditionally? Maybe just go by the color of the uniforms and call it good,,,

or perhaps remaining silent until the american football season starts,, that may be best actually
