Exactly - also picture not only the hangover, but the despair, disappointment, etc. in caving and having to start on Day 1. I played the tape forward before my last relapse, but stopped the tape at the hangover. What I didn't consider was the disappointment and sadness at having to start at Day 1 and giving up my 112 days of sobriety.

Lori, I'm on day 4, so close to you. For me, once the craving starts it's too late. What I do is plan what I will be doing every single minute of the day. A very detailed plan. Time, places, people. That's what has worked for me (until 4 days ago I was drinking daily for 14 months).

Well my problem has been solved from my earlier post. I have to work that day of the Paint & Wine event. God is good.

When I got the urge to drink, I used to walk my dogs. By the time we came home, the urge was gone and we all felt better for the walk.
